Welcome to Wolves of the Dawn! I hope you enjoy your stay here. Please read and follow these guidelines if you would like to join and not be suspended or even banned.

.:Joining:.

• Before joining, read over every rule found here. If you don't, we could easily find out by your posts.
  
• I suggest that you know you'll be active here before creating an account. If you register, you are required to post your character application within two weeks. No more. However, if you post that you are unable to in the hellos and good-byes forum, you may have up to a month before you are required to post it. After that, your account will be deleted.
  
• Sometimes an activity check will be posted in the General Discussion forum. If you do not wish for your account to be deleted, you must post there unless you are away and have said so via the hellos and good-byes forum.
  
• Only one account, no exceptions. If you are found to have multiple accounts, all of them will be banned and/or deleted.

.:OoC(Out of Character):.

• Please stay on topic, this can get very irritating if you go off topic. Example would be a topic about wolves and someone comes in and talks about cats.
  
• Please do not double post. Doing so often may give you a suspension of one(1) week to two(2) weeks. This does not count if your last post is at least five days old. If you must double post, place your reason in your post.
  
• Do not swear, cuss, curse or whatever you want to call it. Doing so will give you a warning, then a one(1) month's suspension and even a ban if this happens often. Only use minor words such as "crap".
  
• No sexual pictures, descriptions, anything like that are tolerated! If we see this, you will be suspended for two(2) months or be permanently banned.
  
• Do not spam! Spamming would be useless posts and the like. Below are some types of post spam. However if a off-topic-topic is active, the last one is allowed.
  -One-word Post (Example: Hi.)
  -One-smiley Post (Example: )
  -Useless Post (Example: Saying 'I have to go pee,' in a topic.)
  
• If a topic is without another's reply after three weeks, the topic is considered dead and moved into the archives.

.:IC(In Character):.

• Three wolves are currently allowed. You can buy an extra character with PawPrints.
  
• Please, only one territory claim per member. This gives others a chance to claim a territory. You can buy an extra claim using PawPrints.
  
• As a minimum, we require that you post a paragraph(that's at least four sentences) to give other members a chance to write the same or longer, as short, one-line posts are hard to reply to.
  
• Characters cannot relate to any form of religion found in people. They are wolves, for pity's sake, and on top of that some people may seem offended by it.
  
• We do accept some liquid time. Alpha/ess are allowed to be in up to three threads at a time, so that lone wolves can be dealt with accordingly. Please send me a private message before going above three, and it is your job to remember which thread came before the other, etc.
  
• Please, nothing related to Warriors, clans or healers! It basically changes the entire pack structure. All previous wolves like this are still accepted and you have no need to change them, but please don't continue to play them as such.
  
• Do not swear, cuss, curse or whatever you want to call it; Even in role-play. Doing so will give you a warning, then a one(1) month's suspension and even a ban if this happens often. Please only use minor words such as "god". And please remember that these are wolves, not Humans.
  
• No sexual role-play descriptions! This includes mating and birthing. Instead try saying they went into a cave or the den, then maybe an hour later. I want this site kid-friendly by all means.
  
• Topics are considered dead after two weeks, and are moved to the archives. Please let a member of the staff know if you've merely been away or unable to post, and they'll remove it from the archives.

.:Battles(In Character):.

• Owners of characters must both agree on disabling attacks, killing blows, and the like. If you have been found to not have permission to do anything like this, your post will be deleted and you will be sent a private message with a warning.
  
• If you don't know much about wolves physically, look it up. Remember that wolves can't just go crazy and bend their neck to bite another's if they're pinned down by the neck. Its physically impossible. And remember that female wolves are somewhat smaller than males at adulthood, and are therefore easier to be overthrown. Again, research wolves if you're not sure what you'd be able to do in certain situations.
  
• Just because you're fighting another wolf doesn't mean your character should go against its personality. For example, if your wolf is shy and doesn't really like to fight and it ends up fighting a bit, it wouldn't just keep on going. It would soon stop fighting and try and avoid fighting if possible. That doesn't mean they can't fight, it just means they don't really like to; Though you can very slowly change this during role-play.
