Name: Breeze Runner (Breezy)
Gender:Female
Age: 3 years, winter
Race Zaelin
Island: Hirisato
Personality: As her name suggests, Breeze Runner is a wolf of grace. She speaks in a language native to her original Pack, but when speaking other wolf languages she does her best to be quite formal. Breezy is a kind wolf on most occassions. She feels that she is connected to all wolves, as if they are all kin to her. She is a strong supported of peace. She tries her best to understand other wolves motives, because her Pack was so different, so isolated. She wanted to see beyond that. One might call her a bit of a philosopher, trying to define the connections between wolves, nature, and anima.
She does not wear all of the decorations in her fur to be vain, she feels that it outwardly shows her connection to nature. It was a large part of her culture. She enjoyed all aspects of nature. The freshness of Spring, the warmth of Summer, the beauty of Autumn, and the crispness of Winter. She sits out in the rain, even during storms. The crash of thunder and flash of lightning make her feel strong, emotionally that is, they give her courage and restlessness. Her favorite feeling is the tranquility she feels when she lays in the grass, surrounded by nature, which is all one, not separated from Pack to Pack. It's different forms, the mountains, forests, and swamps, were still under the same sky.
Her grace, and thoughtful nature, should not be mistaken for weakness. Her culture, despite their feelings towards peace, still taught self defense, and she knows how to defend herself well! Though she will avoid a fight in any way she can, once attacked, she will not flee. She will remind herself that even clouds had strength when they need to!
What she fears more than anything, is losing her heritage while living amon\ngst other wolves. Her Pack had such distinct traditions, and teachings. She does not want to change herself to fit among other wolves. She is proud of who she is, and what her Pack once was.

History: Breeze Runner was bron into a family of five, with both of her parents and two littermates. She was born on Hirisato, into a sort of Pack. However, it was not a typical wolf pack, but more of a coalition between several wolf families living nearby, most of which were Zaelin wolves but two were not They had no real leader, the fathers of each family worked as a sort of team, the closest they had to leader was whichever was the eldest male at the time. The families have grown a culture of their own, sharing the same beliefs in general. For instance, that all wolves are true kin so battle with one another is attacking one's own blood, and that nature is a reflection of wolves and wolves are a reflection of nature. There were traditions, such as feasts during the half moon, and quests as rights of passage for pups.
Breeze Runner had undergone her right of passage when she was a yearling. She was told that her quest would be to find a very special red flower. It grew on the other side of the island. Breeze Runner was young and fearless. Her brothers had other quests to complete and each of the siblings would be alone. She and her anima spent two days and nights out in the forest, alone and defenseless except for their newly discovered abilities. They did not fear. Being so naive as to think that other wolves were their true kin and would cause them no harm. Luckily, they came upon no other wolves on their journey. At times, Wind Walker expressed fear of being lost. However, Breeze Runner had nearly unfalterable confidence that nature would show the way to the flower. Sure enough, she came upon a trickling stream. She did not know for sure whether or not to follow it, but she insisted that it
felt like the right thing to do. The flower was beautiful, bright red with pointed soft petals and yellow strings from the center. She returned home with ease, and was congratulated and well fed.
In the spring of her second year, she grew bored of her plain fur. She kept it well groomed and was complimented all the time on it, but it lacked her spirit, the wild beauty that she held within. Her anima understood this and began collecting items to decorate her fur. It was difficult at first, finding things that suited her, but over time Wind Walker had collected eagle feathers, flower petals, an alligator tooth, a sea shell, and two snake skins for Breezy. He changed into an odd creature, a lemur, and with his newly found digits he wove the materials into her fur. The flower petals tied together were hardly recognizable. The feathers fluttered in the wind but hung taught along her neck and spine. The snake skins twsted around her ankles. The alligator tooth and the sea shell hung from strong pieces of vine and wiry twig. She was unique now, separate slightly from her people, but closer now to the nature she so loved. Wind Walker and Breeze Runner had never been closer.
Then came the dividing line. Although it was true that she wanted to go out into the world and interact with other wolves, that was not her only reason for departure. There was one tradition of her culture that she could not stand. The fathers of each familiy were in charge of pairing. Her mother had tentatively explained the tradition to her once. That the fathers of the families chose one son from a litter and the daughter of another to forever walk together in life. There was more to it, Breeze Runner was sure, but her mother would not explain any further. One day, as she returned home from a Peace Time in the meadow, her father scolded her for coming home late. Breeze Runner was unused to being scolded and wondered why her father looked so stern. Her father spoke as if he were giving her a harsh punishment. He told her that her Forever One would be a wolf named Storm Strider. She wrinkled her nose immediately. She disliked Storm Strider greatly. She thought he was arrogant and unkind. Surely, her parents would not expect her to spend her life with such a wolf? But her father scolded her, and called
her arrogant and spoiled. Her mother looked down at the earth beneath her paws. Feeling trapped, Breeze Runner fled her home. She was unsure if any wolf had followed, or even looked for her, but she was determined not to go back.
Now she lives alone, ironically longing for companionship. She still spends Peace Time thinking and marvelling at nature's wonder. She still feasts beneath the half moon. But she misses her siblings, her friends, and her parents. She must find a new home and family...
Name: Wind Walker
Gender: Male
Personality: Wind Walker is quite similar to his wolf actually. He is deeply bonded with nature, and he believes strongly in peace. Their main difference is Breezy's decision to leave. He urges her every once in a while to go back to her family, an urge which she vehemently refuses. The difference is causing an odd sort of rift between them, and oddly Wind Walker is able to fly quite some distance away from Breeze Runner.
