Storm Cloud-Wolves
By: Icestar

Misty cloud-wolves prance through the sky
twisting and leaping in the winds
dancing in the dreamlands
growing darker all the while
howling the news of the storm-herd’s coming

The storm-caribou race like the wind
Running from Sun’s bliss
Their hooves striking dusk sky
Sends up sparks thus lightning

cloud-wolves fall back to dance among the herd
weaving and bobbing
running a hunt yet they do not harm
to chase is enough
for to harm means to never return to sun’s light

They bay a loud rumbling sound, thunder
Calling the hunt to an end
At last the cloud-wolves stop to watch
the Storm-herd race away
And curl up for sleep
