Kaito nodded, he was breathing normaly now. But the sun was still beating down on him. He looked up. "We can move it into the shade to eat. It will spoil quickly out there.:

He stood and grabbed a leg, dragging it rather slowly towards a far off tree.

((OOC: Sorry it's so short. I've posted twice and both times my internet disconnected. And I didn't have it saved. *sigh*. Next one will be better))

The sun was quite hot. It felt to Ocean like it was boiling him alive. He quickly nodded to Kaito's idea. A foreleg was the victum of Ocean's jaws.

The fur rubbed uncomfortly against Ocean's mouth. But the blood that seeped through tasted good.

Arella changed into a coyote and began to help pulling. This goat is quite heavy. she thought.

Kaito mumbled his thanks to Ocean and Arella through a mouthful of warm fur. Once they were well into the shade of the tree, Kaito promptly dropped the leg he had been pulling. He lay down and wagged his tail, but his expression made no change.

“Well,” Kaito said. “Here’s your goat Tai Li.”

Tai Li squealed with joy, morphing into a wolverine in the process. She supposed that goat was tough meat, so wolverine teeth would do best. She looked around at her friends, her beady black eyes gleaming.

“Thank you friends, she said. I know it was a lot of trouble.

"Yes, we are." Ocean reasured.

No more words were shared as the small 'pack' began eating.

It didn't take long to eat their fill. Tai Li got full first and flopped onto her belly, gazing out over the golden prarie. The sun was setting now, a bright orange sphere casting a blood red glow across the sky. The goats "bah"'ed and cried as they hurried off to whereever it was that they chose to next. The only sounds were broken cricket songs and hawk mothers calling to their children.

Kaito lay beside his wolverine anima, not seeing beauty, but rather searching for options as for where to rest. There weren't many options, but he had no intention of returning to the cave they had first rested in. Perhaps sleeping in the open would be nice, beneath open stars and aware of surroundings.

"Shall we stop for the night?" he asked Ocean. "We should reach Yatito Mountain by morning tomorrow in any case."

When Arella was finnished eating she lay down, belly comfertly full.
"That was good.." You could hear here contentment.

"Ehuhmnm.... Sounds good to me." Ocean regretfully stood and gazed off in the distance.
What had that thing in the cave been?
"I dont suppose were going back to that cave after whatever that was." He stated.

Yeah, that was the best meal I've had in forever, Arella agreed with her friend.

She was still a bit upset about the trouble she'd caused her friends, but that faded quickly as her eyelids grew heavy. Her heavy wolverine body would be so tiring to drag all the way back to the cave they had gone too earlier.

Kaito seemed to sense Arella's feelings. "No," he replied. "That cave was too far back. If we go all the way back there, it'll be a waste of another day."

Kaito examined their options once more. "We shouldn't stay here. The smell of blood may attract unwanted guests. But we'll still likely have to sleep in the open."

"There are some trees in the distance.. I think." Ocean's vission was blurring with sleep, there were little lines in the distance, they looked like trees.

Arella, who was faring better, looked in the direction and said, "Yeah, those are trees, but there really far away."

"There were a few boulders back there," Kaito said. "Back where we had hidden from the goat. That's probably the best we could do for tonight."

The silver wolf nodded in the direction of a group of several boulders. Most were tall and close together, yet provided only a little from night air.

Tai Li yawned, I'll take that over nothing. Is it alright with you two?

Ocean turned to look at where Kaito was nodding.
"Hmm.." was all he said before padding off in the direction of the boulders. A quick bark from Arella heralded no response.

I'll take that over nothing. Is it alright with you two?

"I think Ocean has agreed with you Tai, I guess we beter go." Arella laughed softly.

The walk wasn't a long one, yet it seemed to take forever for them to reach the space. The boulders were close together and shaped in a sort of semi-oval. It was like a cave with a grass floor and no roof.

Kaito, of course, curled up against the rock farthest back from the entrance. With a yawn, he rested his head on his paws with his eyes slightly open.

Tai Li was still a wolverine, too tired to change form. She lumbered in and collasped beside Kaito, only moving a little more to make herself comfortable. Just before she could say goodnight...A shadow swept overhead beneath the moon. Tai Li was so surprised that the breath left her body without a sound.

Kaito lifted his head straight to the side. The figure overhead was large and shaped very much like a wolf...with large, dark, bat-wings.

When they got the Ocean layed down on the floor about 5 feet away from TAi Li and Kaito. He was asleep before a whisper could keep him up.

The whisper was infact Arella teeling him to look at the sky. She glanced down when there was no responce.

Sitting closer to Tai Li and Kaito than Ocean was, she had practicly the same veiw as them of what ever it was in the sky.

Eyes narrowed she stared at it with fow eyes, it looked like a wolf, or maybe a big dinosaur with wings...

Kaito blinked a few times, to be sure of what he was seeing. The figure was becoming rapidly smaller as it flew towards the mountains. Kaito was almost certain that it was a wolf. During his travels, he had seen many kinds of wolves. Only two others he'd seen were winged. But this was a different wolf than even they were.

Kaito, Tai Li murmured tiredly, as the winged creature was gone. Do you think we'll see that wolf in the mountains?

"It's likely. That's where she was heading apparently."

He spoke no more, and Ta Li could tell that he was ready to sleep.

Goodnight everyone, Tai Li said for all three to hear.

"Goodnight. Wonder what that was." Arella sighed, whatever that thing had been Ocean had missed it.

Laying her head down softly on the ground, eyes closed, Arella bid dreams to come and take her. It took ahwile, but they finnaly came.
