| It was so unexpected. So.. Shocking. She didn't think anything like it could happen, or even if it were possible. But no matter how much she told herself that it wasn't true, her dear Kodiak was gone. Perhaps even forever. They had only just reached the lagoon when all of a sudden he had become paralyzed, and yet all she could do was scratch at the sort of "wall" that surrounded him, tears welling up in her eyes. Then he and the blue light vanished. Just disappeared.
Now she couldn't even stand anymore, her back end sitting on the ground and her forelegs spread out weakly, her eyes staring blankly where he had disappeared, tears pouring over her face in waves. "Kodiak," she whispered, over and over again. It wasn't long before Wing padded out of the cave, utterly confused as to what had just happened. He, himself, had tried to free Mayi from the blue light, but was unable. He stepped beside Angel and nuzzled her with his lynx form softly, upset much less than she, though more so from their shared thoughts. "Angel, it'll be alright.. They'll come back.." Despite his attempts to reassure her, she continued her sobbing, not even looking in his direction. From her thought-speak, he could tell she knew he was worried too. "Wing... The-they're gone... Kodiak... Mayi... Gone..." Her tears began to dry on her fur, her eyes still wet and coated with the salty water. "I know," he said softly, sitting beside her. "But we have to be strong.. For them. You're an alpha now.. So c'mon.. We need to go back to the cave." The white female's eyes looked blank again for a moment, then she straightened her stance before standing to her paws. "You-you're right.. We should head back," her voice was hoarse, and her throat was sore when she spoke. Her paws were shaky and seemed weak as she walked towards the cave that the pack called home, both from exhaustion and sadness. It seemed like time had taken a standstill, or slowed down a great amount, trying to force her to suffer while Kodiak was gone.
When she finally entered the cave, she found it empty. The scents of the others seemed very faint, like they hadn't been there for a good day. Even Shadowclaw, to her liking, was gone, even outside of the small den. The sky was already turning more blue rather than the pinks and yellows of sunrise, and suddenly the wolfess felt all of her exhaustion yet again. When it looked like she was about to fall when she tripped, Wing quickly ran over to try and balance her, but found that she had done so on her own. She smiled thankfully at him despite it being unneeded, and eventually found herself at the back of the den. The white vixxen lay down in a ball in the far corner, her head atop her forepaws. Wing, changing into a small, brown mouse with gold toes, curled up in the small space between her head and paws. Though he had slept much more than she had, he was still tired from the odd morning and wished to try and sleep off some of it. Soon they were both inside the dark veil of sleep.
It was a hour or so before Angel blinked her eyes open lazily, searching for the sound that had awoken her. She didn't know what it was exactly, for she just knew she heard a noise, but she didn't see anything. Lowering her head back down reluctantly, she fell back asleep. But this time she was woken back up again by the same sound merely a few minutes later. This time she could identify the noise as something moving. Quickly standing up and searching the den, she woke Wing up from his sleeping and he quickly changed into a bobcat upon feeling her unease. The female's fur bristled, and she scented the air for any other wolves or animals that would have caused it. Unfortunately for her, the wind wasn't on her side, as it was blowing her scent out of the den. The male anima was ready to go out and search in the place of Angel, but she simply replied with the suggestion with a simple "no." The white alphess still stood in the corner, and Wing was right beside her, both not growling but not relaxed either. They just hoped that they could be prepared for whatever came.

| Shadowclaw didn't know why he returned to these lands, he was Alpha of his own terriory now he had so many more important things to do; then to trespass on ClearWaters pack territory. But something called to him to come back here if only for a little while, He could still remember his first stroll through here. And the gorgeous white female he ran into, he tried to trick her into coming with him and being his mate. But unfortunately That brown male Kodiak had to come in and steal her heart; but now thought he about it. it was awfully silly of him to even try such a think, it was so much work just to get her to trust him. Just to have it shattered in a moments notice by another wolf. after that whole ordeal he moved on and claimed his own land. for now it was only himself but maybe it would grew one day, and hopefully full of wolves that shared his ambitions. though he didn't care much about losing Angel, he still hated to lose and he wanted to get back at Kodiak one way or another but for now he would bind his time.
He found that his paws were leading him towards Kodiak's den, he had no idea why he was even going towards it. His mind was telling him to stop and turn around, that it wasn't even worth the trouble, he knew Kodiak didn't like him much who could blame him when he after talked about his leadership abilitys. It just felt like some unknown force was making him move towards their den; all of his better judgment told him to stop and go back to his territory but his paws just keep moving forward until he was standing a few feet from the dens entrance. He expected Kodiak to come charging out of the den questioning him about why he was here and telling him to leave and throwing around threats he couldn't back up. But all was quiet no one came out of the den, he was almost disappointed about it. It would have been great seeing Kodiak trying to run him out of here. but he was no where to be found. His head turned left and right just to make sure no one was around. He was about to venture into the den his paws lead him closer until Lightfang cut him off. She was always trying to keep him from doing things that seemed wrong to her, always trying desperately to change him back into the old shadow claw. He just gently moved her aside with his paw and entered the den.
He saw Angel standing in the corner of the den, his eyes stared at her for a while before letting them wonder to other parts of the small den. it was empty except for Angel being here of course, the way she was standing their it looked like she was expecting trouble to come. He took in the scent that were in the den Angel's scent was clear as day but Kodiak's was faint, did he leave her? Or maybe he was killed, "Wheres Kodiak" he asked bluntly, " He must of been gone for a while" he continued. Lightfang walked in beside Shadowclaw sitting down next to him. her head was lowered like she felt ashamed of what shadowclaw was doing.

| It was mere minutes before a large, black male strode into the entrance of the den. She watched as his yellow eyes stared at her, tensing as she realized who it was. Shadowclaw had never done her any harm, but the feeling she got from Kodiak when he was around made her feel like the black wolf was untrustworthy. She didn't stop watching him or relax at all as he scanned the empty cave. His question surprised her, she hadn't thought he had liked Kodiak very much. Or perhaps he was curious so he could harm the alpha. She was speechless for awhile, listening to him note that he had been gone for a while. Not truly that long, but he'd been away from the den much longer. "Away," she finally whispered, attempting to take a step backwards but wasn't surprised when she touched the back wall of the cave. "What do you think he wants?" Wing asked mentally to his partner, though she was as curious as he was. "I'm not sure," she replied, looking at the bobcat beside her. He seemed more defensive than she was, which was odd for him, considering he liked the wolf and anima more than she even trusted them. Maybe he was just taking a precaution. "Why do you ask?" Though the white female knew that it would be best to keep her curiosity to herself, she thought it'd be better to at least get some kind of idea.
It was only after a few minutes of a pause she noticed that Shadowclaw's anima, Lightfang, had walked in and sat beside him. It didn't reassure her, though, instead it did the opposite, as she looked like she was ashamed, which probably meant that the male was up to no good. The vixxen had to admit, though, that it was odd to see that the black brute was back. She had expected him to have lost interest and moved on, but obviously she was wrong. Either way, he was here now, and apparently for something. However, what it was, the female had no idea. Wing, on the other hand, didn't seem to notice Lightfang's expression, and actually seemed to lighten his stance slightly. Even in his eyes, Angel could tell he was more cheery with the anima around. "Hey, Lightfang," he said, standing much less defensively now, though still careful. Perhaps they were just seeing what was going on in the pack, or to get on Kodiak's nerves. "Be careful, we still don't know what they're up to yet. After all, they are still in ClearWater's territory," she warned, hearing no reply from her anima for a few seconds. "Calm down, I'll be fine." At this, the snowy wolfess looked to Wing cautiously, and he just looked back at her with a grin. Normally she trusted him completely, willing to do the best thing he thought on most occasions. But this time.. She wasn't quite so sure.

| Phantos dragged her tattered wings sullenly through the dirt. She had long gotten over the pain of Shadowclaw abandoning her, but she was numb nontheless. With some effort, the winged femme lifted her head to the light breeze, forcing herself to be alert for danger, when the only thing she wanted was to be gone from this earth. Every day, it was like a thorn-sharp claw was thrust into her heart. Any time something reminded her of Shadowclaw, that claw was twisted until Phantos could not contain her agony, and was forced to vocalize it. It even suprised her how many tears her silver eyes had produced. But now.. she felt nothing. She was a hollow shell of her former self. Even Meeko, who had began to be very keen on Lightfang, was depressed. The only time they ever applied themselves was when hunting.
For the first time in weeks, Phantos caught a scent that made her throw her head up and prick her ears. Meeko stared at her, his round chipmunk eyes spreading larger with disbelief. Without any warning at all, Phantos took off running, her long legs skimming the ground as if she were flying. She kept her wings in tight against her side and jetted through the forest. She couldn't risk actually flying, lest she lose the scent.
Phantos came to a shuddering halt in a clearing where she spotted him. Him. Her glowing irises widened in shock. "Sh-Shadowclaw?" with that, Phantos' orbs rolled up into her skull and her bedraggled body fell to the forest floor in a heap of black, gray, and white fur.

Clearly he could see Angel didn’t feel “safe” with him around, he physically harmed the she-wolf, though he did attempt to mess with her mentally though she didn’t seem to know that. She used the trust the dark wolf, at least enough not to be so defensive around him. He still didn’t know why he was even here, it was a mystery to him, but know that he was here he had grown curious. Kodiak was nowhere to be found, and Angel was left alone. That wolf wouldn’t never leave her alone from what he could tell Angel was frail, if anything were to happen he didn’t think she would be able to defend herself. Something had to happen to Kodiak for him to leave her all alone like this. His ears moved forward as she spoke, it was kind of hard to pick out what she was said but he did hear it.
So Kodiak was “away” now the question was where to he had to go somewhere, but really why should he even care where the wolf went off to if anything he should be glad that he was gone. He heard Angel speak once more asking her own question, “I was just curious he doesn’t seem to like me very much, though he would be around to try to drive me away especially with me being so close to you.” He stated his small facts as to why he asked, his eyes wondered around the small den once more, “I remember this place being filled with other wolves also what happened to them? They abandoned you too?” Maybe he was being too forward but he didn’t care he was curious. And it felt like he was being called here so there must have been a reason for that, His yellow eyes looked down towards his anima as Angel’s spoke to her. Lightfang looked up at wing with her dull golden eyes, “Hey wing” she tried to sound happy to see him not knowing if she succeed or not.
After Lightfang spoke he turned his attention back to Angel, he didn’t plan on doing anything to the female, and he rode that boat already. Besides he still had some morals even if he didn’t show it often, there was no real point to remain here. He didn’t think she would ever give him a straight answer, but it just didn’t seem right leaving a female out alone to worry about some would be mate that seem to just disappear, “I have taken over the bordering territory so you may be seeing a lot more of me at least until Kodiak comes back, IF he ever comes back.” Just then he heard a noise behind him like someone falling to the ground. Shadowclaw turned around only to see it was Phantos, for a moment it could not believe it was her. Somehow the two got separated again. He ran out of the den to her side, “Phantos?” he called out her name. She must have been tired was she out looking for him this whole time, He laid down next to her. Close enough so that their bodies touched, He licked the side of her muzzle gently, “Phantos.... you idiot”

| The white vixxen didn't know what the male wanted, but he didn't seem like he wished to harm her. At least not yet. He actually seemed quite calm and reserved, but his anima.. It still made the female enforce her suspicions. It seemed she was a little too quiet when she had spoken, but he apparently got the message successfully, and it wasn't long before he replied. Her fur bristled even more at the final word, and she watched as he scanned the cave yet again. Was he looking for something? Her maw opened up to speak, but was cut off by him talking on his own. All was well until he reached the last of his words. "Too" he had said, implying that Kodiak had also. At this, the wolfess growled, her teeth slightly baring at the black wolf. Though she wouldn't like to start a fight, knowing that she'd be hurt or killed, and of a dimming dislike of violence, she'd much rather have the brute apologise."You take that back," she snapped, which surprised her anima more than she thought. "Kodiak is a good wolf. He wouldn't abandon me, he'll find some way to come back."
Awaiting his answer, Lightfang replied unenthusiastically to Wing, and from that, he finally noticed her dim tone. "Li-" was all he got out before Angel's mental thoughts clouded his mind. "She looks ashamed, Wing, not sad. Pay attention, please, for me?" When she looked at him, he nodded at her, both turning their gaze back to the pair at the entrance of the cave. While Lightfang seemed to sulk silently beside the male, he, himself, appeared to be deep in thought most of the time. When he started speaking of have claimed a territory, she was somewhat pleased, until he said that he'd be stopping by often. Or, at least as he said, until, or if, Kodiak returned. A large snarl ripped from her jowls this time, her white fangs glistening in the dim lighting of the den. Then, all of a sudden, the male spiralled again, pausing for a few moments before running out of the cave. Curious, Angel followed him out, Wing trailing right at her heels.
What the two found was a multi-hued wolfess, laying unconcious on the dirt. Shadowclaw was also laying down, right beside her, and the white vixxen had just caught a glimse of him licking her muzzle gently, hearign him utter something that she couldn't understand from the distance and low tone of the voice. Her ears perked forward with Wing's, attempting to hear anything else, but nothing else was said. Angel sat down on the rocky ledge before the entrance, Wing still as a bobcat beside her, though didn't wish to sit. The white female bristled again and growled as she remembered her request, forgotten for a few moments. She would at least try and force him to do it if she had to.
