A New Home

"Leopard said I'll go sleep, and went to the bushes and slept, for she was vry tired and confused.

Ferncloud was susprised at first when Spottedtalon nuzzled her. But she soon got over that. And then he told her he love her. That was all she had ever dreamed of.
" Spottedtalon. I love you too. When we were apprentices I used to always ask Cloudfur if I could go on the patrols that you were on. And then you became such a great warrior. I was so distraught when the fire came. I thought I lost you and my family. I Dont know if I will ever find my famly but im just glad your here," She nuzzeled his soft fur that always smelled of the forest, her faverite scent. All she wanted to do was to be closer to him. She leaned against him she could feel his heart beat steadily. A heart filled with courage, detirmination and love. She glanced over at cloral to find that he haad changed into a fox like Keisha and was cuddling Keisha with his soft russet coat gleaming . Everything was right.

Spottedtalon laughed. "I always wondered why we were on so many of the same patrols!" He said in a joking manner. He loved her more than anything in the world, and he was just realzing it. If they had pups, it would mean Thunderclan would live. Thunderclan would flourish. "I'm glad you're here too, Ferncloud." He pressed into her fur. "We might find our family someday. There's no odds against us, so it's entirely possible." Spottedtalon surveyed their camp for a heartbeat and then looked back at Ferncloud. "Ferncloud, would you care to sleep in my den with Keisha and I?"

" I'd like that," Ferncloud got up.
" Come on Cloral," Fercloud almost laughed. Cloral looked like a funny fox. She followed Spottedtalon into his den and layed down. The whole den already smelled like him. She took in the sccent like she couldnt get enough. She swished her tail back and forth.

Leopard woke up in time to see the two wolves going to sleep together. She and Leo stretched, and walked over to Hazel tail. "Hello" she said "How are you tonight?"

Ferncloud looked up.
" Are you coming Spottedtalon," Fercloud asked. before he could answer she curled up and slept. oh she was so tired.

Leopard had seen the wolf, but she didn't know who it was. She asked "What's your name?

Spottedtalon lifted his head drowsily. "Huh? Wha-?" Seeing Ferncloud asleep, and not seeing Leopard at the entrance to his den, the brown and tan brujo lowered his head and fell asleep. Then, he realized that moonhigh could not be far away.

Spottedtalon sprang back to wakefulness. ThunderClan needed a deputy, and the warrior code stated that the new deputy had to be chosen before moonhigh. Spottedtalon raced out of the den and up the rockpile which surrounded it. High above the ground, Spottedtalon could see the whole camp. "Let all wolves old enough to catch their own prey join beneath the rockpile for a clan meeting." The familliar words echoed around the stone hollow, and he saw Hazeltail pad out of the warriors den. He hoped Ferncloud and Leopard would join her.

"I say these words before StarClan, that the spirits of our ancestors, and the spirits of past ThunderClan warriors, wherever they may be, can hear and approve my choice." Spottedtalon hesitated, to give time for his words to sink in. "Hazeltail will be the new deputy of ThunderClan. She has not trained an apprentice yet, but the hardships we faced after the fire have given all of us more experience than we ever could have thought."

Leopard watched with wide eyes. She somehow felt she should chant Hazeltail's name, so she did "Hazeltail, Hazeltail...."

Ferncloud woke up suddenly at the sound of Spottedtalons's voice. She raced outside, her anima following. She was just in time to her Hazeltail be made deputy. Tears of joy streamed down her face.
" Hazeltail, Hazeltail," Ferncloud cheered.

(Sorry, WW, but we already started. We can't stop now!)

Spottedtalon joined in with the cheering. "Hazeltail! Hazeltail!" When the chanting was over, Hazeltail spoke.

"I never dreamed of this. I know that ThunderClan will be great, and I will try my hardest to fight beside you, Spottedtalon, and bring our clan back!" The light brown femme's tail was wagging, and Simba was nowhere to be seen- he was most likely watching from an unknown place.

"I wouldn't dream of day that you wouldn't," Spottedtalon replied with a wolf smile on his face. He leaped down from Rockpile and rested his muzzle on Hazeltail's head as if he were greeting a new warrior. "Okay, everyone. Tomorrow at sunrise will be the dawn patrol. The borders are marked, but I think all of us should go, so Leopard can learn the territory. Actually, if the anima's could turn into wolves, it could help us out greatly. On the way back from patrol, we can hunt and start a fresh-kill pile. Right now, we should all get some sleep. We have a big day ahead of us!"

Ferncloud then turned back to the den and lay down. She was once again happy that Thunderclan was rebuilding itself. Cloral curled himself up onto Fernclouds flank and fell asleep along with Ferncloud.

Leopard went back to the bush and slept.

How about we are Thunderpack? and Hazeltail could be Hazel, , Ferncloud is Fern or cloud, and spottedtalon could be Talon?

Leopard woke up once more. There was a meeting. She went to the four cats and asked "did you know you are the only clan? Most wolves wont accept that. Maybe It's time to change your ways."

Spottedtalon looked at Leopard. She was right. "Leopard, I think you're right. As much as we love ThunderClan, we can never truly BE a clan unless we have StormClan, MistClan, and MountainClan. I agree with Leopard. We must change our ways, or face the rebellion of every other wolf from Hirisato to Reon." Spottedtalon lowered his head and flattened his ears to his skull. "From this moment forth, I will be known as Talon. Leopard shall stay Leopard. Hazeltail will be known as Hazel. Ferncloud shall be known as Fern." Talon walked into his den and lay down with a huff.

Fern had heard everything form the outside and was sad but she knew Talon was right.
" This is going to feel different" Fern said to Talon

"Yes, it will," he replied. "I'm sure we can still train our pups in the ways of the warrior, but we can't have gatherings and such." Talon flattened his ears to his skull once more. "Fern, I know it's been a while since we've seen each other, but seeing you again has proven how much I care about you. Fern, will you be my mate? We can't have pups just yet, seeing as ThunderCl-pack is still being re-built." Talon licked her ear once.

" Yes Talon I'll be your mate. I agree, I think raising pups in this stage in the Packs devolpment would be a bad idea. But things will get better. I have no doubt that you can lead out pack through this time," Fern said reasuredly. Fern then layed her head on his shoulder and setttled down for the night.

Leopard and Leo slid away. She scented the air and scented a moose and it's calf. They were weak. Leo took off and soon sent a message hat the mother they were by a stream at the base of the hill by the small clump of pines. They were close to death. Leopard ran with all of the speed she could. The moose got up slowly and tried to charge her. She easily leaped up and killed he calf. The mother almost hit her, but she collapsed. Leopard quickly killed it. She smelled the two. The mother had died of an infected wound. At the at the break of dawn returned with a moose calf. She went back with Leo and together they dragged the mother back as well.

in the morning Fern stirrred a little and then woke up. She turned to see Talon, no her mate, sleeping soundly. She got up slowly so she wouldnt wake him. Fern then turned and gave him a soft lick on the head and exited the den.
The camp was silent and beautiful. By the smell it looked like Leo and leopard had gone out to hunt. Fern jumped dwon form the rock ledge and streched in the cool, morning air.
" Goodmorning Fern," Cloral said from behind her. She hated it when he snuch up on her. This morning he was in the shape of a bob cat.
" You know I hate it when you do that," Fern said.
" Of course I do, why do you think I did it," Cloral said laughing. He jumped up on her head and curled up to finish his morning nap.
Fern was tempeted to fling him off but thought better of it and sat down to wait for the hunter

Leopard returned with the mother and calf. she barked joyously "feast!" and stepped aside for the leader and his mate.

" Oh this looks great," Fern said. She took a big chunk out of the mother.
" Talon and I will share this. You guys can have the rest. And great job," Fern said impressed. She then picked the meat back up and took it to the den. Cloral followed her into the den.
" Talon Leopard and leo caught some food. I got some for us," She said sitting down by him.

Leopard turned to Hazeltail and stepped aside. "Go ahead" she woofed "You rank before me in the pack"

Leopard stepped up to Hazeltail and submitted to her. She tucked her ears and tail and Lay down with her stomach up, waiting for Hazeltail to perform her part.

Talon woke with a start at the sound of his mates voice. The bright sunlight filtering through the lichen covering to his den struck his eyes with fierce intensity. Just then, the mouthwatering smell of fresh-kill filled the spotted wolf's nostrils, and made a small pool of saliva fill his waiting maw. "Thank you Fern. Remind me to congratulate Leopard on such a fine kill...I wonder where Hazel went off too..." Talon stopped, too eager to dig his waiting canines into the warm flesh. Finally he did, and ate. And ate...

Hazel stepped up to the carcass that Leopard offered. She watched as the lower-ranking wolf performed the proper submitting techniques. She nodded her head once to Leopard, allowing the she-wolf to stand and wait for Hazel to finish. Before she took her first bite, Hazel ripped her golden irises off of the mouth-watering carcass and turned her gaze once more in Leopard's direction. "You are very well mannered...I'm sure that you will be a senior warrior in no time." Hazel gave Leopard an encouraging wolf smile, and then dug into the calf, filling her belly quickly. Hazel stepped away and gestured with her tail to the awaiting fresh-kill. "It's all yours, Leopard," and with that, she padded away. Her paws led her to Talon's den, and she called into her leader, "Talon? I'm going on patrol. Your scent marks will be easy to follow." She heard a yelp from Talon, signaling that he was allowing her to go. Hazel headed out of camp, to see what the new territory held in store for her family, her future.
