Perfect Autumn Day

Nightwalker not sure if he was alright anymore at first he thought he was just tired but this sudden weakness all if a sudden maybe it was something more. perhaps his body wasn't to going the time it did without food and then the long run back, " ugh i'm not sure anymore" he could barely stay stand on his paws and Delila was beginning to feel his weakness as well, "y-yeah as much as i hate to admit it i need some help"

"Zio," Kia said, looking down at him. He looked up at her and nodded, bounding over to Nightwalker's side. On his way there he grabbed the rabbit off of the ground. They'd need it later. Kia went to Nightwalker's other side and crouched lower to the ground. "Lean on me when you need to; lets get back." Zio transformed into lynx and walked beside Nightwalker, hoping to give some support.

Nightwalker didn't understand what was happening to him he didn't feel this weak before he leaned on Kia slightly using her support to stay on his paws as they walked backed Delila hopped up on his back and changed into mouse she to felt the sudden weakness from Nightwalker and began to wonder why she didn't sense it sooner

Iceheart flinched as the leader's fangs closed around her neck. She nodded, and felt the pressure increase, then release. She looked Keovi in the eye, then kept digging. She sighed and stopped. It was a rough den, but it would do until Snowest could touch it up to her liking. Iceheart groomed herself a bit. She crept to the den and walked in. She lay down, and listened as Ky mentally described them.
"Why don't you name the dark male Splash? the tan female Stone, and the last female Saga? The animas can be named after appearance." She stared at Mudpelt. "I have an anima too, and he can describe the pups to me. " She sat up as if to leave to collect bedding...

Takara was starting to feel sleepy now, but Keovi was already sleeping like a pup. She watched him for a moment from her spot in the tree and finally saw Kia bring three rabbits to Nightwalker. Wow. Her gaze continued to follow them as they ate their meals and headed back to the clearing. Then her ears twitched as she heard another wolf slipping out from the den below. " Oh, it's you." She said to Iceheart from above her in the tree, her tail curled over the limb and paws neatly tucked under her. " Keovi won't be asleep too long, by the time the sun starts setting, I bet he'll be ready to lead a a hunting group to look for something that could feed all of us. " She said, putting her head down on her paws as a cat now, and closing her eyes to get some rest.

Ky was still standing in the den. He turned into a cat and curled up a t Iceheart's paws. She lay down once more, and waited for the response from Mudpelt.

Mudpelt along with Kuna ate the two rabbits. Mudpelt felt so much more better with food in her belly. The pups were also done feeding and were now finding places to sleep. The female that looked so much like Keovi yawned with a small squeak. Her tiny pink mouth was so cute. Mudpdelt leaned down and gave her a lick while tucking in all the others into warm places in the nest.
Mudpelt then looked up to see Iceheart in her den.
" I was actually thinking of naming the one that has the gold eyes after a beautiful gold flower, Anaya. The male looks like my father so I thought Koda would work. That was my fathers name. When my sister and I were little we used to have this secret launguage. We both had water symbols so my nickname of her was Koara, water in our language. I think I'll name the last female Koara since she has a water symbol," Mudpelt said looking at her sleeping pups as she said each name. She hoped Keovi would like them. The food was making her sleepy and she need some rest.
" Iceheart, thank you for keeping me company, but I think I'll take a rest now," Mudpelt said with a yawn. Kuna hopped on her had as a doormouse and fell asleep in minutes. Mudpelt fell asleep with the thought of a beautiful future with her family.

"Those names are even better!" Iceheart whispered, and picking Kyota up by hs scruff trotted outside. She blinked in the lght, and shivered when a wind blew. She set Ky down in her den, and sat by Keovi, waiting for him to wake, so she could do some work. Yawning, she aly down. "I'll just nap until he wakes up" then she fell into a deep sleep. One with horrible dreams of Stormkit. She tossed and turned, not waking. She barked, howled, whimpered, and spoke in her sleep. "Stormkit, stormkit!" Her paw hit Keovi on the nose as she tossed and turned...

The two finally made it back to the dens, and by then Kia was tired, too. Thats just because she hadn't had any sleep for a while, she'd get over it soon enough. "Do you have a place to sleep?" she asked Nightwalker, now remembering that she didn't have a den for herself, either. She yawned, but stopped herself before it became too big. The sun was still up, but it seemed the pack was asleep in their own dens. She looked up at Nightwalker who was leaning on her and grimaced slightly. He didn't look well at all. "You need some rest quickly..." she murmured, glancing at Delila, then back at Nightwalker.

Nightwalker was feeling weaker by the minute but thanks to Kia and Zio he was able to make it back. his head was lowered and his ears lay flat on his head. he shook his head when she asked him if he head a den, "no the dens were made after i left to find Dawn and i don't believe one was made for me."

Kia flattened her ears when he answered no. She'd either dig one for them or have to sleep in one of the other's dens. "Just... lay down here for a second," she said, moving away from him slowly so he could lay down instead of just fall over. She moved away from him and right beside them, she discovered, beneath the shadow of a large tree, the ground was very soft. "Zio, please," she said, and he appeared by her side. He dropped the rabbit beside Nightwalker and he and Kia began digging. With the two of them it began to form quickly. It wasn't small, but it wasn't large. There were a few roots sticking through the wall of the den from the tree, but other then that it was nice.

Kia backed out, her fur covered in soft soil, and went to Nightwalker's side again. "There, now we have a den. Come on, you need to get inside." She lowered herself and nudged him up with her muzzle.

Nightwalker slowly lowered himself to the ground and laid his head on his paws he could her Kia digging close by. at this point it made no difference if he had a den or not he was about ready to fall a sleep right where he lay but Kia's digging ceased and she came back over to help him up. he struggled to his paws once more but it was much easier this time with Kiaa helping him and he allowed her to lead him into the den

Kia once again allowed Nightwalker to lean on her as she lead him into the new den. It was a bit rough around the edges, but it'd do for now. As they made their way into the dimly lit den, Kia moved away from Nightwalker again, allowing him to lie down. "There, now you can sleep," she said, relief in her voice. Zio headed back out and brought the rabbit back inside. He layed it next to Nightwalker and Delila, then made his way to the other side of the den. Kia followed him and lay down with a contented huff. She lay her head on her forepaws and her eyelids closed slowly. Sleep finally came over her when Zio, now a mouse, snuggled into her warm fur.

Nightwalker slowly laid down once more hopefully for the last time, " thank you Kia, you really didn't have to make the den for me i would have been fine sleeping outside." he laid his head onto his paws and closed his eyes letting sleep overcome him. Delila buried herself into his fur falling asleep also.

Keovi's eyes shot openand he gasped lightly once Iceheart's paw hit his nose. His wide eyes blinked once or twice before he shook his head and nudged Iceheart's paw away. He sat up, yawning as he looked up into the tree above him where Takara's limp paw and tail dangled over the edge.Still facing the sky, his eyes moved to the sky, where the sun was close to the horizon, and a few clouds had already turned a light shade of orange. He got fully to his feet and stretched out his front paws, then back, and shook out his pelt of Dirt and leaves. Takara was blinkiing open her eyes now, pulling in her paw and tail to sit up on the branch and groom her ears with a careful paw.

Keovi's moist ,black nose poked through the grass near Mudpelt's den. He could smell that the rabbits had already been eaten, and Iceheart had went in there while he slept. He steps carefully around the resting white wolf and to the edge of the lake where he dunked half his muzzle in and blew a few bubbles in the water, and lifted his head to shake the water off again before actually taking a drink. Takara changed back into a Pine Marten and climbed down the tree, now at full alertness. " So, feeling better?" " Much." He said, giving her a quick smile, complete with gleaming white teeth, before turning back towards the clearing.

" Ok, whoever feels fit enough to come with me, we'll be going on a hunt, I'm looking for something bigger this time, so the whole pack can eat." He said loudly, walking into the clearing, swishing his tail back and forth with a light and bouncing step. "Well, a good nap and you're ready to take on the world again, huh?" Takara said, looking up at him from his feet. "Go see Mudpelt, I'm sure she won't mind you coming to visit before you go." She hopped a few times towards the den. Keovi nodded and poked his head into the dark space. " Can I come in?" He said, blinking and trying to get a grip on the darkness to see his mate's face. " Keovi here, hope your not too sleepy." He smiled again, his tongue hanging out because of his head being half upside down.

Iceheart woke suddenly, panting. Her blind eyes were wide, and her fur disheveled.
"I'll go!" She then crept towards Keovi and whispered. "When I left, she was sleeping."
She walked to the center of the clearing and stretched. "That's odd. Nightwalker isn't up. Ahh well... he's probably tired from hunting."
she trotted over to Kia and slightly prodded her. "There's a hunting party going soon. We need more wolves."

With that she walked back to the den. She quietly brushed past Keovi and went into Mudpelt's den. She prodded her awake with her nose. "I can keep an eye on them if you want to go hunting"she said quietly "You're going to want to stretch."

Nightwalkers ears twitched when he heard Keovi, he opened his eyes half way. even though he was sound he asleep he still felt weak and tired. he hoped that after getting some sleep he would feel better but that wasn't the case. he dragged himself to the entrance of the den and looked out the opening, he didn't see Keovi or Iceheart he sniffed seaching for the scents of the two wolves but something wasn't right he was able to scent as many things as usual. he found Keovi's and Icehearts scents but they weren't as strong even though they still close by. was he beginning to lose his sense of smell the thought worried, he as always used his noise to help him get around and identify everything and everyone he scented.

Kia's eyes opened quickly when she felt a paw on her head. When she looked up it was only Iceheart; not the terrible wolf from her dreams. She breathed a sigh of relief. This dream had been worse than usually. She shook her head. There'd be worse dreams to come. Her life wasn't over yet and the memory wasn't going to fade easily. She got to her paws and stretched, letting a heavy yawn escape her jaws. She almost turned and trotted out the enterance to the new den she had made to join the hunting party until she remembered Nightwalker. She froze in mid-step, brought her paw back, and turned around to make her way to his side. She sat down next to him with her head hanging down to look at him. He was out of it right now, it wouldn't be right to wake him up again. He needed rest. He looked fragile right now; vulnerable. She couldn't leave him like this and go hunting. She looked up to the enterance of the den. She needed to tell Keovi about this; he'd know what to do. She once again got to her paws and almost ran out of the den to Keovi. She found the brown shape half-way in Mudpelt's den. The sight made her giggle slightly, but she snapped it back and nudged him softly with her nose. "Keovi," she began, "Nightwalker... when we both went out hunting Nightwalker said he felt weak. We both figured he needed to eat and get some rest so he came with me anyway. But when I hunted he just layed down. He didn't look good, so I gave him and Delila two of the rabbits I caught, though they only ate one. I helped him get here, then he told me he didn't have a den to sleep in, so I made one quickly. It's not very good, but it's sturdy enough to last for a while. I helped him in there and he's asleep right now." Kia turned her head toward the den, then back at Keovi, worry showing in her voice now. "He doesn't look good, Keovi, he looks weak."

Zio awoke as a soft pressure touched his nose. He opened his eyes just in time to see Kia fly out of the den. He immediately got to his paws, shaking off the dirt that had awakened him. He looked out the den to see Kia talking to Keovi. He was about to go out and join her when a desperate thought came into his mind. Zio, stay there with Nightwalker and Delila right now. Keep them warm, please. Right then he knew what this was about. He turned and made his way to the back of the den where Nightwalker was. Avoiding the roots from the tree, he finally was able to lay beside the sleeping black form. But then Nightwalker stirred. The sick yearling made his way to the enterance. "Nightwalker," he called, padding forward to stand beside the black wolf. "Stay here, you need to rest," he urged. "The others are going on a hunting trip, but you need to stay here. Kia is getting Keovi to come see you right now."

Mudpelt awakenedto the sound of her mates voice. She had had a wonderful sleep. She stretched, checked her pups, and then turned to the voice.
" Of course you can, Keovi. Come on, we have to talk names. Now I already thought of some, but if you've thoughtof some, please share," Mudpelt said. She made room for Keovi by moving a little. She thought the pups were getting healthier looking already, and woulf probably need some fresh air soon. It was a good thihng too because Mudpelt was getting restless cooped up for so long. She couldn't wait for them to start talking. She could already see them having the time of their life with her and Keovi.

Nightwalker looked down at Zio, at least his ears still worked they way they were supposed to. he sighed, nodded and laid back down he knew Zio was right he needed to rest but h didn't want to stay inside the den all day, "Zio can you check on Delila for me and make sure shes ok. shes buied in my fur somewhere."

Snowest took no notice when the wolf told her what to do-she wasnt the alpha. when Keovi, the real alpha, told her what to do snowest stood and walked off into the forrest to gather supplies. when she had as much as she and Jack could carry they walked over to where all the hub-bub was. setting the branches, leaves, grass, and brambles down into a pile by the entrance snowest and jack watched kepvi administer a re-buke to the wolf who apparently hated snowest. Snowest smirked. then she walked into a large bush with a fairly medium sized burrow under it's roots. crawling in snowest smelled the famillier smells and closed her eyes.

Iceheart was a little frustrated at being ignored. She stepped up in front of Mudpelt, or where she thought was front. "I can take care of them if you want to stretch."

Mudpelt looked up at Iceheart. She really didn't want to leave her stars, but her legs were really stiffening up.
" That sounds nice," Mudpelt sad appreciatley. Since the pups were asleep she didn't have to worry about them missing her.
" Now, Koara can be a little restless so make sure she doesn't upset the others. Koda sometimes likes to explore so make sure he doesn't going to far. And Anaya can be a little shy so be gentle with her. And I think thats all. Thanks, Iceheart. I'll be right outside talking to Keovi. I need to make sure he likes the names," Mudpelt said. She slowy slid up. She was kind of sore, but she felt light as a feather. After she had stepped away from the nest she headed to the mouth of the den.
" Keovi," Mudpelt said walking up to him.

Iceheart sighed, and curled up around the pups. She told Ky "Go hunting, everyone's going to be hungry." She listened to each pup sleeping, and gently licked each one so it wouldn't be cold in the cruel winter. She took a bit of her fur and wove it into the bedding.

Ky woke up from where he was napping, and stepped up to Keovi. "I'm here for hunting!" he reported. He turned into an eagle, and waited for departure. He shivered a bit in the cold. He saw storm clouds over head, and hoped they weren't snow.

Keovi stepped aside to let Mudpelt out, and felt a tingling feeling through his fur after finally seeing her fully again. "I've missed you." He said, nuzzling her gently. " I was worried, but now I'm just happy. We have three healthy pups and a wonderful home! How much better can it get ?" He smiled. Takara noticed Kia quickly making her way over to him. She prodded him with her paw and pointed. He stopped, looking behind him to Kia. " What?" He said, his voice suddenly shocked. " Nightwalker?... Uh Takara, go with her now, see what's wrong with him, please, I'll be over in a second." He said, trying to spot the black and gray wolf inside his den, but the sun was setting and the shadows were already darker. " Mudpelt, I'm sorry, Things have gotten busy ever since we settled in. We need to hunt now for something big enough to feed us all, he glanced around at the few who were able to join him in the clearing. He sighed, his ears drooping. " But i'm here now." He said, smiling shyly at her, with one ear slightly higher that the other in a pup-like look.
Takara rushed ovber to Nightwalkers den, sniffing the air around him carefully. It wasn't anything she noticed as wrong, but Nightwalker's scent didn't seem the same. She glanced at Kia quickly, her expression worried, and crept down into the den she made for him.

"Nightwalker? Are you okay?" She said, poking her nose through his fur carefully. She and Keovi were never trained specifically in healing, but had seen their elders at work sometimes. " I need you to tell me if anything hurts. Kia told me you have been weak, have you eaten anything you usually don't while you were away? Maybe your just a littel sick from the weather.. " She tossed out ideas while padding up to where she knew he face was. Her eyes were much better in the dark then wolves.
