Perfect Autumn Day

Nightwalker's ears twitched as Mudpelt spoke to him, he didn't look at her he just kept facing ahead as he spoke "yes i was able to find my friend but i had to leave earlier beacuse of a wolf that decided to intrude into our territory. how are you feeling Mudpelt you just had your pups i bet your tired" he was starting to calm down as he spoke with Mudpelt maybe all he needed was to get away from that wolf.

Mudpelt noticed how tense Nightwalker was. What was happening?
" I'm fine," Mudpelt said suspiciously. " What is happening, Nightwalker? Where's Keovi," Mudpelt asked now worrying. Kuna was resting on Mudpelt's back eqally puzzled.

after she had been pushed out of the bushes snowest heard the other wolves talk about driving her off. "Where will i go then?" she thought to her self. "Why dont we try to join them?" Jake's voice intruded on her thoughts. snowest growled softly and thought to jake, "After how mush trouble my fun seems to cause them thayed never let me in!" the seconds passed by then jake said, "I'm going to try." jake turned into a young cougar and walked up to keovi with snowest staring at him. jake did all the things he could remember about submitting and said to Keovi, "Would you let us join your pack?" snowest shook her head and got ready to dash in, grab Jake, and run away as fast as she could.

Keovi stared down at the anima, sniffing the air around him slightly as he submitted. Good, least one of them has some manners. He thought to himself " Give me a good reason why I should do that now. " He stated, flicking an ear but his growl faded. Takara got up after Nightwalker and walked quietly over to Keovi, Iceheart and Kia, sitting down next to Keovi as a Pine marten as usual, feeling alot less tense in the anima's presence. She could feel Keovi staring to calm down as well, his tone wasn't as harsh. He only eyed Snowest suspiciously.

Nightwalker could hear the worry in her voice "don't worry Keovi is outside dealing with the wolf now i think they are about ready to driver her out so just relax Mudplet. anyway i'm glad you are all right i know you and Keovi will be great parents unlike mine" Delila walked next to Nightwalker "should i go fetch Keovi Nightwalker." Nightwalker shook his head "no but go and stand by the entrance as soon as he is done with that wolf you can get Keovi. i'm sure he would want to see Mudpelt and his pups." Delila nodded her head and ran towards the entrance of the den.

Iceheart stood, then snapped "speak!" then remained standing. She had calmed a bit, but was still annoyed. She looked every inch the deputy she would have been in Iceclan, tail up, head high, fur on end She was ready to become the leader.

(ice you do realize that technicly its only been a few seconds in the *RP World*?)

Snowest sat and thought to her self, "Ha, i wonder how Jakes gonna get past that one!" she grinned, but she was still ready to dash away if it was needed. Jake looked at keovi, "Well, were both really good hunters, and Snowest can fight really good.... and i promise that she will behave." jake said glaring sternly at Snowest. snowest put on an innocent look and said in pretend outrage, "Me, not behave?" jake sent a message to her thoughts, "Not helping." then he turned back to keovi awaiting his answer. both jake and snowest tensed.

Keovi looked down at Jake, and then to Snowest. 'Should I?' He questioned silently, while Takara answered, ' Well, what about keeping them as assessments, like you had in your old pack? We'll see is they really are trustworthy. ' Takara said , smirking. 'I like that idea.' Keovi answered.

" I won't let you join us that easily, after you have acted, but I don't think it would be entirely fair to just drive you away. He gave a warning growl to Iceheart as he glanced quickly at her. " You will be allowed to stay around the pack as an assessment, that way I can see if I want to really let you join our ranks. Disobey us in any way, and you'll be driven out. We have just had new pups, so it should be easy for you to prove that I can let you into the pack. " he said, in a much calmer tone, Takara felt satisfied and bounded back towards Mudpelt's den, where the soft yips of pups. Keovi hung back for a few moments, waiting for Snowest answer, but first he issued Iceheart a warning glare, as he noticed her stance. He didn't want to start any fights at that moment however, he was anxious to see his mate and his new pups soon.

snowest tilted her head questionly and thought to jake, "Assesments?" but jake ignored her and said to keovi, "Of course-" snowest butted in and said, "So, what do you want us to do?"

(ya, but Iceheart hates snowest's guts, remember. Cuz of that luring into the bushes thing I don't though.)


Iceheart sat and barked more friendly-like, because Ky had nudged her when Keovi gave them the warning stare. "How about they hunt? Everyone needs more food." Seeing him bound off, she knew she should quickly become dominant over this new one. "Don't forget you don't belong yet" she snarled. "Go hunt." she ordered "You must do something, and I'll dig your den though."

She turned and stalked off to a empty place under a tree. She sighed and sent the dirt up once more...

Kuna looked up. releif showing in his face, as Takarra bounded in. He rushed up to her and almost bowled her over with his excitement.
" Takara, wheres Keovi. Mudpelt wants the father of her pups to see them," Kuna said leading her back to where Mudpelt was. After the shock of even having the pups had worn off Mudpelt and Kuna started working on the idea of names.

Takara met Kuna alway, tackling her as she went. She smiled happily but her face soon clouded. " Oh, he's outside. He'll be in soon, has some buissness to take care of." She forced a smile, but she could feel Keovi's stress tiring him more at this point, exhausting her as well. She let Kuna lead her to Mudpelt, where she scented the warm scent of mother's milk as the three new pups lay at her stomach. "Aw, they're perfect!" She whispered, looking at the tiny bundles of fur warmly.

Keovi sat down sighing. " No, snowest, you will be gathering some nest materials to line Mudpelt's den. Winter's coming and we need all the warmth we can get. " He said, nodding towards the large tree in the clearing where Mudpelt's den lay. " Kia has kindly brought us two rabbits. They will be fine for now. " He said, sighing again, this time creating a large gust of wind from his mouth. His gaze slopped over to Iceheart now, then to the hole under the large tree. He stood, his tail waving back and forth once or twice before he padded over to Icheart, busy with digging a new den. He stood quietly behind her for a moment, his face expressionless, watching the dirt fly out from behind her, almost hitting him in the face. Then, quickly sidestepping the flying dirt, his jaws came down on Iceheart neck as he reached down towards her. " I will give this warning once." He growled lightly through her fur. " Mudpelt and I are the ones who give the commands here. You will go to me first before you choose to act upon others. "He said, releasing her after he tightened his grip for a second. Without waiting for a response, he turned tail and padded towards Mudpelt's den on heavy paws. As the morning sunlight was put out under the darkness in the den, Keovi felt himself relax finally, about to collapse into sleep, but he kept his paws moving until he was at Mudpelt's side, with Takara sitting next to him.

Through the darkness he could barely make out the tiny shapes laying next to his beloved mate. He laid his muzzle carefully on her side, closing his eyes slowly. " Congratulations." He said wearily. " I know you'll be the perfect mother to them." He said, nuzzling her fur and letting her familiar scent fill his nose. " Are you feeling strong enough to eat something? Kia caught you two rabbits. She seems like a strong hunter, she came back with Nightwalker." He explained, his eyes still closed as he rested his head on her side. Takara nodded at his side, now as a small cat, watching the pups curiously with wide eyes. "You too, I hope everything went okay." She muttered, her eyes softening as one of the pups tumbled as the other pushed it out of it's nursing spot.

Mudpelts eyes lit when her mate entered. Her eyes did not ever leave him again. She leaned into him when he sat down, his scent conforting.
" Oh, Keovi you have no idea how much I've missed you. I hope I'll be a great mother, but as I've been hearing it seems your already the great father fending off intruders. And I'll eat in a little while. She is a good hunter, its good to have her in the pack," Mudpelt said looking now at her precious stars.
" Have you thought of any names, even though you've been so busy," Mudpelt asked.

Nightwalker sat still while as he waited for Keovi to come into the den the smell of milk filled his noise and his ears twitched at ever yip he heard from the pups. the sounds and smells made him think back to when he was still just a young pup with his pack. how he used to play with his brothers and sisters and almost always had a smile on his face. he lowered his head and sighed, he always resented his pack for leaving him all alone. but as much as he resented them for it he did miss them though he would never admit it to others. he never known what a mothers love felt like, and Keovi was the closest thing he would ever get to a father but would never feel the void Nightwalker felt he was missing.

he lifted his head as he heard sounds of someone walking into the den, he sniffed and quickly identified the scent as Keovi's. he stood him to his paws and yawned, "i suppose you two will want to be alone for a while" he wearily walked out of Mudpelt's den and right into the open. he fell on his side exhausted and hungry, Delila laid down by his side "is everything alright Nightwalker.?" he sighed "i havn't eaten and two days and I'm tired but other then that i guess I'm ok"

Keovi opened his eyes for a moment, hearing Nightwalker's voice now. He was so tired he barely realized his presence there. "You can bring Kia or Arrow with you to hunt, if you want. I can't lead a hunt now, i'm too tired." He called after the young male. His eyes closed again now, and he smiled, hearing Mudpelt's familiar voice. "Don't worry I'm sure You'll make a great mom." He laid down onto his back now, opposite the pups, to be careful not to roll over on them. " I've missed you too, it was a long night." He sighed, letting his tongue roll out of his mouth. " I'm sure it was for you too." He said quietly, now turning to open his eyes, wishing he could see through the darkness and look at the pups properly. " A good nap will surely get me- " He yawned widely, pausing as he did so. "- some energy, then I can.. think properly.." He felt himself nodding off, so he got to his paws, and crouched in the confined den. " I'll let you rest too, you need the strength as much as I do, I'll have those rabbits given to you soon, they look tasty." He smiled, turning back out of the den regretfully, not wanting to leave her side so soon but Takara was urging him outside.

" she needs her rest, and so do you, you didn't get any sleep, or food all day and night. Neither did the rest of the pack I'm sure. Everyone should just get some sleep in my opinion. Enough surprises..." Takara said, busy talking away as Keovi found himself a spot next to the den opening in a patch of sunlight. He flopped down onto the ground, grateful that today looked a bit warmer than usual. " Ya I know." he murmured as Takara came to his side, grooming a patch of fur on his head. " Mudpelt's rabbits.." he said, quickly dozing off. " Can you..?" " Ya, of course." Takara laughed, as he closed his eyes and fell back into a much needed sleep. She got to her paws and dragged one of the rabbits back underground for Mudpelt and Kuna. " I'm back." She said quietly. " Keovi wanted me to get these to you now, I guess he can still get worried even when hes half asleep." She said, placing the rabbit neatly beside Kuna. She touched her nose to his gently before bounded back out of the den and up the tree to survey the clearing from the branches.

Kia watched Keovi move over to Iceheart. She was confused as to why he was watching her dig, then flinched as he brought his fangs down on her. Don't let that be you. Zio's thoughts came through Kia's mind. Don't worry, Zio, she replied. I'm grateful to him for letting me join the pack. I won't cause trouble, I'm just happy to have somewhere to call home now. Her warm brown eyes watched his tail dissapear into the darkness of the den his mate and new pups awaited him in, and she smiled at the thought of it. But her smile didn't last long. It quickly turned south and became a frown. She sighed, looking down at her paws, her ears flattening against her head and her tail wrapping around her small body. Zio pushed against her side reassuringly, though his silver eyes watched the strange white wolf and her anima wearily.

Kia opened her eyes and looked up to a sound not far away from where she was sitting. She saw Nightwalker on the ground and Delila lyaing beside him. She got to her paws and walked over. "Nightwalker, are you alright?" she asked, cocking her head to one side slightly and sitting down in front of him. She prodded him on the head once with her right paw gently. "You've been kinda out of it ever since we got here. Takara said that Keovi was planning on sending out a hunting party soon, you'll be able to eat then. You'd better take it easy until then, though..." She studied him; he looked exhausted.

Just then Keovi's voice sounded from inside the den and Kia smiled and got to her paws. "Looks like we don't have to wait."

Nightwalker was so tired he didn't even notice Kia untill she spoke to him, "i've been better" he was glad to hear Kia's voice they hadn't spoken to each other since they got here with some many things going on. he closed his eyes and flated his ears as she prodded him with her paw, no one had ever done that before and he felt nice to him. just as quick as the feeling began it stopped and he heard Kia stand up. he sighed and slowly stood to his paws, "i don't know how much help i'll be the best i can do at the moment is track something down i'm too tired for anything else."

Kia wagged her tail slightly, "Don't worry, all you have to do is tag along with me. I'll catch enough for us both." She turned and bounded away into the more forested area further away from the lake. "Come on!" She called for him. Zio pelted after her, and soon gave a slight hiss, locating three rabbits in a small clearing up ahead. He fell back and darted away into the bushes immediately while Kia kept running forward. she soon turned and concealed herself within the leaves of an overgrowing bush. Three brown rabbits lay ahead of her, grazing on the soft grass happily, blissfully unaware that they were about to be hunted. She turned her head to peer through the leaves, hoping Nightwalker would catch up and not make any noise.

Nightwalker padded after her Delila jumped onto his back, changed into a mouse and ran to the top of Nightwalker's head. he lifted his nose and scented three rabbits close by, he was about to tell Kia but it seemed like she already noticed them. he sighed and laid down to get off of his aching paws. Delila jumped off his head and changed pack into a fox, "are you sure your ok Nightwalker i know you have been up for a long time but you seem to have less energy then usual. i mean Kia as been up as long as you have and yet she is till pretty active." Nightwalker shrugged his shoulders "i don't know Delila i just feel so tired and well.... i was thinking of my old pack again and with mudpelt having and Keovi having their pups. i don't know Delila i just feel like something in my life is missing but i'm not really sure what it is" Delila licked his muzzle "Nightwalker you have come a long way since the angry little pup you used to be. i'm not sure what you think you are missing but i'm sure you will find it." Mightwalker sighed "yeah i guess so"

Kia kept waiting, but Nightwalker didn't come. She shrugged, guessing he'd probably layed down somewhere close by. She'd catch these for him; he needed a good meal. She turned forward and once again rustled the leaves in front of her with her muzzle. Zio's silver eyes caught it immediately and he ran forward. He caught one of the rabbits right there, and finished it off quickly with a swift bite to the neck. The other two expectantly ran into the bush Kia was in. She caught one of them, but the other doubled back and dashed out of the bush again. Kia finished her's off and ran out of the bush to chase the rabbit, but Zio was there with it dangling in his jaws. Kia smiled, "Good job. We usually don't have this good hunting. Three is a lot with this style we do; usually we can only get two. Your getting faster." She turned and gathered the rabbit she had caught in her jaws, then headed back for the first that Zio had caught. Zio picked up the last rabbit and they headed back together.

A black shape laying on the ground came into view as the two headed back to the dens. Kia once again sat infront of Nightwalker and prodded him on the head gently. "Here," she said, setting her two rabbits down beside him and Delila. "I told you I'd catch some for us. Help yourself, if your still hungry I'll catch more. There are a lot of rabbits and things here and they're super easy to catch. Living on the plains was harder than here." She smiled down at him breifly, then stood and tore into her and Zio's meal. Zio joined her, tearing into the rabbit's shoulder.

Arrow was still by the lake looking into the lake's ripples and smiling
(yes, i know i have been gone, i have just forgotten to tell you that i have been depressed lately, but i should get over it soon.)

Nigthwalkers ears twitched as he heard Kia approaching abd he looked up at her when she sat in front of him. he didn't close his eyes this time when she prodded his head but he did flatten his ears. he sniffed at the rabbit she caught for him and Delila then looked back up at her and smiled a little, "thanks, i'm sorry i wasn't much help." he tore into the flank of the rabbit and Delila joined him.

Kia sat down when she finished her share of the rabbit. "You've been tired, it's okay. I told you all you needed to do was tag along, didn't I? You can have that other rabbit, too, or we could bring it back and give it to someone else." She yawned, suddenly realizing how tired she was. "You think we should head back or should we catch more?" she wondered, ignoring her tiredness.

Nightwalker and Delila finished their rabbit, "yes but it doesn't seem right for you to be out hunting without any help." he looked towards the other rabbit he was still hungry but every one else was probably hungry too "we will take it back and see if anyone else wants it. this should be enough to keep me going until I'm rested enough to hunt." Nightwalker grabbed the rabbit and struggled to his paws.

"Alright then," Kia replied, getting to her paws. She turned to leave, but stopped and looked back. It seemed Nightwalker was having a bit of difficulty. She turned back around and faced him. "Are you sure your alright?" she asked, worried now. Nightwalker seemed... weaker now. Ever since that run from the plains to here he's been different; tired, exhausted. Zio bounded over, finishing his meal. She took a step forward, "I can help if you want..." she began, hoping he'd let her help. He looked like he needed it.
