The beginning of a new

"ye, yes. hes g-gone now. and im blind... completely blind..." the pup topped shaking and tucked into an even tighter ball. she kept muttering over and over the word blind.

Glacier's eyes widened, and she lowered hersself even more towards the ground. She felt the shivering body of Azarius slowly pressing harder into her fur. " I'd... never... never.. it's just not... not right.." He was whimpering. " You said your anima.. did that to you? But.. why? Azu is right, that's just not natural.." Glacier was trying to say, very quietly, and avoiding the gaze of the other wolves. " What happened...?" She finally asked, looking up with a look of deep worry and fear in her eyes. Azarius was buring his face in Glacier's fur too much in shock to speak anymore. An anima should never do such a thing as blind their wolf.

War looked down at Kena but Kena shook his head and turned into a black fox "I would never" He said as War back away, War nodded her head and she felt Kena's fur in her fur as he shook "i would never...." He said crouching lower into her fur. Kena looked over at Azarius "why would an Anima do that? it's not right" he said crying he would never betray War, he could not live without her.
War looked at Glacier "It's just not normal not natural, what made it do that? It must have had a good drive to make it do that. None of our Animas would do that! They are our souls, our friends for life, it is not natural" War felt a tear roll down her cheek "no" She whispered.
Kena was comforting War "I would never do that" He was saying feeling her fur on his.

"blind..... nathen, he just, he said it was my fault, that everything was, my fault... i said that it was the alpha's fault, he got angry, said i was acusing him... i-i said i wasnt and he.. he just went crazy... i tried to calm him down, but it didnt work-so i ran away... he knocked me over and clawed me.... then he le-left... blind.... " the pup continued to mutter 'blind'.

Kazuro stared blankly at the pup in front of him, uncertanty showing clear on his face. Zura pressed her body closer to his foreleg, still shocked into silence. Kazuro shook his head as if he were trying to shake away the thought of an anima harming it's wolf. He couldn't think of Zura doing that to him; they were so close. She was the only one who had ever cared enough for him until he found Crescent and the others. He listened more intently as the pup murmured the word "alpha." "I did something in this?" he asked, bewildered.

War and Kena didn't move but said in unison "You?" They were both sure HE out of all wolves would never do such a thing.

Glacier was now silent as well too shocked to say anything more, but in her head, her thoughts were racing. 'Azu, what if he means his own alpha, one of another pack?' " Well.. maybe I don't know, we just.. just met this wolf.' She heard his shaky reply. ' Well maybe we should help him now, and get answers later..' She said slowly. ' Okay.. I-If your sure.' Azarius watched as Glacier bent over the young wolf and nudged his to his paws. "Common', were going to help you, but I need to calm down first." Her voice softened and she tried to speak with a little more confidence. As she used her own muzzle to lift the pup to his feet, she nudged his forward, making sure to keep some part of her touching the wolf so as to help guide him. She looked up at Kazura, lowering her ears as she did so and hoping what she was doing was alright. Azarius changed into a snow white lynx and went to the wolf's other side, pressing up against him to keep him steady, even though he was having some trouble himself, still shaking.

Kazuro watched, silent once more, as Glacier helped the pup to his feet. He felt sympathy for the pup; a strange feeling that was nearly new to him. He nodded slightly to Glacier, appriciating her help. The pup had gone through enough pain; it needed time. "We'll take him back to the cave," he said, not caring about the question he asked before anymore. "You can rest safely there; it looks like night is upon us," he said, directing his words to the pup, and glancing up at the darkening sky. The sun wasn't touching the horizon yet; they still had plenty of light to get back to the cave. Zura, still silent, turned into a mouse and climbed up to sit on Kazuro's head. She didn't think her legs could carry her all the way to the cave with the way they felt now; as if she had no control over them. She buried her small brown body into the gray fur atop Kazuro's head, feeling comfort there.

as the pup was helped to her feet she muttered to kazuro as she pased him, "not you.. the alpha of my old pack. she was the one who blinded my other eye....... im sorry for what i did to you and your friend...." looking over to glacier she said, "thanks."

Glacier padded on soundlessly with her wings folded so that one was forming a barrier from the cold wind that was nearly always there in the mountains. Azarius felt the pup could continue from there and so he changed into a small arctic fox again, trotting closely beside Glacier's other side. " Rock, step high." Glacier muttered as they passed over some rocks. Azarius stopped and looked back to the group that hadn't gone to investigate the pup. He bounded over the rocks towards them, coming to land atop a higher ledge as he called out to Hackle: "Common' Kazuro's leading this pup back to the cave, I'll help you drag the carcass." He said, hopping down and meeting Sai and hackle with a small, but somewhat nervous smile. " I think everything will be a lot calmer there... Ninja, Kazuro's just over those rocks of you need to follow them." He said to the other young wolf. Most his words were coming from Glacier through her thoughts, otherwise he might not have the strength to bother coming there at all.

(sorry for the slow posting this week school had me a bit busy)

Sai and Hackle could not beleave what they where hearing, Sai stood with his jaw slightly hanging. how is it possable for an anima to betry their wolf, animas are apart of their wolves and holds strong bonds stronger then most any i've seen. if an anima can betry their wolf...... Hackle bit Sai's tail, she knew what he was thinking "Sai you know i would never do anything like that we've been through alot togather. no matter whats going on i will always stay by you, ya furball." Sai looked down at and smiled at her "i never said you would betry me Hackle." Hackle and Sai looked up at Azu as he spoke to them, "great why do we get stuck with the grunt work how are going to drang this thing back up the mountain. i mean have you seen Sai try to clumb up the mountain yet?" Hackle complained Sai just walked over to the carcass and grabbed one of the front legs " well we can at least try."

Crescent was shivering the whole time, the pup may have caused them harm before but now it was in need. betryed by her own anima, her and whisker had there own arguments every now and then be neather one of them have thought about betrying one another. Whisker ribed his tail against Crescent's flank as he always does when hes trying to make her feel better he didn't see how it was possiable for an anima to betry their wolf it was something unheard of. he sighed and pushed those thoughts away for another time right now Crescent was terrified and he needed to keep his focus on her. though Kazuro has been the one able to calm her down, their bond was growing. " i would never do something like that Crescent who know i only do what i think will best help you". Crescent looked down at her anima " y-yes i know Whisker" she leaned her shivering body on to Kazuro seeking comfort from the shock they all just went through

Azarius laughed a little , but it died away quickly. " Ya lets at least try. It wont be as hard, I found a nicer route with a lot less rocks." He said joining Sai at the carcass as a lynx again, grabbing the other leg in hi jaws. He started pulling up the rocky slope, trying to use all the muscle he could, being only an anma it was harder for him, but he knew Glacier was busy with the blind pup. Because the elk was already sickly and was very thin, it was much easier though. As the sun creeped further down the horizon, long shadows appeared on the rocks, but they were catching up to Kazuro's group. Azarius set his leg down and sat to rest, luckily the cave wasn't too far off.

( Sorry I'm kinda roleplaying the anioma more, for some reason hes just funner to rolplay for me.. lol I like Azu better than Glacier)

Kena opened his mouth to protest but War slapped her tail over his mouth "Yeah lets try, we may mat make it but we can try" War said confidently even thought she thought this was a suicide idea

Ninja didn't obey her but darted in with the pup. "Everything will be fine", he crooned. " Your'e doing great." He saw a rock coming up. "I rocks coming, so step...... Now." He looked to the big wolf "Should I keep doing this?" he asked.

Glacier looked sideways at the other young wolf who cane to help. She folded up her wings and let his direction take over, feeling slightly annoyed, but she never showed it. 'Azu, I'll help with that carcass, Ninja can guide the pup.' She said to him as she trotted over the rocks to meet the others . " Having fun, Sai?" She said with a slight chuckle. She grabbed onto the elk's neck with her jaws and used her wings to create a little more force. The whole carcass felt lighter now, and Azarius felt a lot of weight come off his paws. " Thanks." He murmured, still helping drag it. withing a few more heaves the elk was already near the cave, and Glacier set her part down and started panting. " Well that's good enough. I guess were gonna have to get used to that, living up here..." She said, shaking her pelt to get some dust and grit from her fur. Azarius changed into a mouse and began cleaning himself.

looking over at ninja the pup said, "thanks. whats your name?" for the first time that day the pup smiled.

War walked next to Glacier and whispered in her ear "i am going to die of panting!" War smiled and looked up as Kena wrapped around her neck in his Cobra form "I am going to die" Kena said as War looked at him "Says the one that is on my back!" She shook her head

Zura glanced over to where the wolves were hauling the carcass up. It looked like they needed some help and she wasn't helping at all just sitting here. Though the shock of the anima and the blind pup still bothered her, she scrambled down from Kazuro's head and transformed into a fox. She bounded over, gripping one of the elk's legs in her jaws. "Mind if I help?" she asked through a mouthful of flesh. Although she was already full, her mouth began watering involuntarily. Kazuro watched Zura leave for a moment, then looked back over to the blind pup to see that Glacier had been replaced with Ninja. "Good job, thanks, Ninja," he praised. He glanced up, seeing the last large ledge marking the cave's enterance. He walked to the blind pup, lowering his head a bit to it. The pup would never be able to make the ledge without someone carrying her. "Do you mind if I carry you the rest of the way in?" he asked with slight hesitation.

her smile vanishing the pup turned to Kazuro. in a calm voice she said, " of corse." but even though her voice was calm, the embaressment in her eyes and the slightly bristled fur betrayed her real emotions.

"My name is Ninja" Ninja said hastily, hoping to bring back her smile. He looked to the big wolf that spoke, and dipped his head in thanks.

Kazuro lowered his head more, his jaws clamping on the pup's neck. He loosened his hold so that he would only come up with her scruff, then he raised his head again, the pup dangling from his powerful jaws. He turned toward the cave and launched himself up onto the ledge. Thankfully, he hit it just right and managed to jump inside somewhat gracefully. He glanced one down at the group with the carcass; they would need some help to bring it all the way in. He lowered his head once more and set the pup down gently. "I'll be right back," he promised, then turned and dissapeared over the ledge again, returning to Ninja's side. Ninja, also, was just a pup and would need help getting safely onto the ledge. "Do you mind if I carry you up to the cave?" he asked, lowering his head slightly.

Glacier smiled back, and then turned again to the carcass. " Alright, and if we get it inside, it can last us a while too." She said to Zura, grabbing a leg again and getting ready to haul it over the ledge. Azarius resumed his spot on the carcass, back into a fox, but watched Kazuro take the two pups ino the cave. Something about seeing the young she-wolf made his stomach uneasy. Trying to push the thoughts to the back of his mind, he grabbed onto the elk, and started pulling with the rest. After a few more heaves the mass of fur and meat was sliding over the rocks, getting some chunks of fur snagged on rocks, and a new stream of blood trickled down from one of the edges. Azarius let go, panting slightly now, and turned to look into the sky. For a while he was neglecting to see how some clouds had covered up what was left of the sun and made it even darker. Swift winds were now moving over the rocks, creating a eerie whistling nose, and a small bush nearby rustled as another gust of wind picked up. The sooner they got into the cave the better.

Sai let go of the carcass and looked up a Glaicer as she came over to them "yeah lots a fun" he said with a chuckle. he gabed back on to the carcass's leg and pulled on it with as much stregth as he could, with Glacier helping it didn't feel as heavy as before which was a bit of relif. Hackle hust wacthed as everyone helped pull the carcass back to the den, "pull harder we'll never get home by dark if you guys are going this slow."

Kena picked up the underbelly of the carcass as War helped him until she lifted it and he couldn't reach it. War as in a trot by now.

Glacier felt flat ground beneath her paws and carefully set her bit of the elk down. " Finnaly." She said, yawning. Azarius pounced up onto a rock beside her, turning into a snow white cat as he curled his tail over his paws. " Ya, and just in time for a storm it looks." He motioned eith a slight jerk of the head toiwards dark clouds now rolling in. He and Glacier merely looked once at it and turned back to the cave, being used to the harsh weather up here.
