The beginning of a new

"No thanks he barked, and with Stealth's help, just managed to get to the top. He looked to the carcass. He realized how painfully thin he looked. He hadn't eaten for weeks. His stomach had hurt all the time, but now it hurt so bad. He whimpered, and took a few bites of food, knowing anymore would make him sick.

Kazuro nodded slightly, and followed the pup into the cave. He was glad to see that they managed to get the carcass in; and Zura sat beside it, panting heavily. She caught Kazuro's gaze and laughed shortly in embarrasment. Its alright... just tired, she said to him privately. She glanced quickly at Crescent. Kazuro? Are you going to talk to her? she asked, looking back to him with a more serious look on her face. Not now, he replied, jerking his head to the outside of the cave. It's raining, and we have more important things to worry about right now. He inclined his head slightly to the two new pups. Zura sighed, but she knew he was right; maybe tomorrow after the rain had cleared. She padded over to Kazuro, who lay down beside the enterance of the cave, and lay down at his side, snuggling closely to his warm gray fur and scarred side. Kazuro shivvered slightly at the cold wind from the rain blowing in on him, but at least he was blocking some of it from the others. Zura fell asleep quickly, but Kazuro lay awake, keeping an eye on the two newest members, just in case.

Ninja lay by Lucifer and shivered. He snuggled into his fur and slept....


Stealth looked around and ate some small bites from the carcass. Then he waited for the others to fall asleep.

Hackle joyfully padded into the cave "i knew you guys to do it all we need was so them work" Sai nudged her with his paw " well Hackle i don't recall you helping us." Hackle quickly seached for the words to defend her self "well....i.. uhhhh was helping wasn't my voice motivated you guys into going faster is'nt that right Azu" Sai shook his head "you know Hackle you are really something else."

Ceascent wanted Kazuro to speak to her, to make her feel better about she just learned but it wasn't just them anymore he was responsable for a whole pack of wolves and even though she wanted him to confort her he had to look after the pack. she walked into the cave and looked at all the wolves then turned he head to the two pups. she still wasn't sure if she could trust them but they were just pups and the rain would make it cold tonight she and Whisker walked over to the pups and cruled around them "i-i'll keep you warm tonight."

ninja woke up for a moment. "thanks" Then he dosed once more.



Stealth looked around. Few wolves were still awake. She waited, biding her time..

Glacier padded noiselessly over to sai, and circled the ground once or twice before curling up beside him. Azarius was back in his form as a tiny white mouse, his grey snowflake markings starting to blend with the rock behind him, as it was getting ever darker and hard to see inside the cave. without bothering to tell the others he ran along the edge of the cave wall, and outside into the stormy atmoshpere just outside the cave. He paused as he came across a darker spot on the rocky floor, dampened by the rain. staying just on the dry side by a few little steps, he made his way to a rock and climbed ontop it, hidin g inside a small crevice. His tail and face were all that showed, and his tiny black eyes, watching the raindrops fall from the dark clouds above. his whiskers twitched in facination, and his eyes lit up even more, seeing a faint lighting flash in the distant clouds.

Glacier knew where he was but didn't question it, she knew he always liked watching things like that. Slowly, her eyes closed and she fell asleep almost immediately, being filled with warm meat and tired from dragging the elk uphill.

laying down next to ninja the pup was about to sleep. then she wispered in ninja's ear "my name is Lostface. goodnight." then lostface closed her blind eyes and went to sleep.

(The Next Day)

Kazuro had finally managed to get some sleep last night, but it wasn't much. He blinked one eye open and immediately shut it again harder. The early bright light of the dawn shone brilliantly through the enterance of the cave and reflected dully off of the walls. Kazuro opened his eyes more slowly this time and he had soon gotten them open wide. He parted his jaws to let out a massive yawn, then got to his paws and stretched, unknowingly waking Zura who had slept beside him the whole night. Zura let out a short mrrow or surprize as her warm 'nest' moved from around her and she fell backward onto the hard stone. Like Kazuro, she had trouble opening her eyes, too, but it took her less time to fully open them at last. She yawned and arched her back, letting the sun's newly warm rays warm her fur. She sat down to clean herself briefly before whatever Kazuro had planned for today. Kazuro's eyes sweeped the cave, finding nothing but the sleeping form of wolves and the new small pile of mice and rats caught by Zura during the night. He sighed as a persisting thought came into his mind; one he couldn't push back or ignore. Are you going to talk to her today? Zura's thought pushed into his mind. She needs to know. Kazuro turned to give her a stern look. I.. might as soon as everyone gets up. I know she needs to know. His eyes once again sweeped over the forms of the sleeping wolves until they rested on Crescent, still curled around the pups. And? Zura persisted. Kazuro sighed again, though he knew that she was right. I'll talk to Glacier, too, when she gets up, he promised. He had planned to make Glacier Beta, but none of the other ranks had been decided yet. He'd been afraid that the others would be angry at him for not giving them ranks, but now he had confidence in his pack members. He sat down to wait while Zura took this opportunity and curled around his foreleg to get a few more minutes of sleep.

(Sorry if there are a lot of spelling errors, typing with one hand isn't very easy. xD)

Crescent blinked her eyes open and let out a yawn. she looked at the two pups sleeping at her side, they both looked so peaceful but they both went through things that no pup should have to. she lifted up and head and looked around the cave, mostly everyone was still asleep exept for Kazuro she wanted to get him and greet him but she also didn't want to wake the pups so she just barked a greeting. "Good morning Kazuro"

Kazuro's eyes glowed when Crescent awoke. They illuminated even more when he heard her sweet voice. "Good morning, Crescent," he murmured, hoping to not wake any of the sleeping wolves. Zura sighed; she wouldn't be able to get any more sleep. She arose once again and arched her back in a short stretch. "Morning," she meowed happily to Crescent. She glanced around the cave quickly, but she couldn't fine Whisker. He must still be sleeping.

Alronto had woken up when Glacier and Sai had, but ended up losing them. His ever-brown pelt shimmered against the little sunshine there was as he walked across the mountain. He couldn't help but sigh every half hour or so, after all they did seem to leave him behind. 'Guess its kinda my fault..' He told him self every once in a while.

Alranta mostly looked at him for the couple of days they had traveled; Wishing he would cheer up even a tiny bit. Even the happy, joyous songs she would sing that usually made him laugh didn't work. Alronto was dissappointed that his new friends in over two years and abandoned him; And thus brought memories of his puphood.

As the duo turned the corner of the mountain, Alronto paused. Alranta flew to the rocky floor and changed into a tan bobcat almost immediately after he stopped. "What's wrong?" She asked curiously. Alronto could smell another wolf; But it wasn't like one he had ever sniffed out before. "Well?" She said a bit louder.

Alronto was frozen it seemed, but he heard her talk to him the second time. "I smell another wolf.." He started, Alranta almost interupting him when he started to talk again. "But I've never smelled this one before." Alranta was confused. Never smelled it before? Impossible! Alronto's sniffed practically every wolf on the island.

They went 'round another corner about two hours later, and what they saw gave them a startling wake-up call. It was a large, black wolf. He barely fit on the mountain-side. The large wolf turned to him with blood-red eyes and gave a dark-sounding chuckle.

Alronto and Alranta wasted no time in running away from the massive wolf, but to do so and continue searching for Glacier and Sai they needed to pass the wolf. Alranta had changed into her normal form of a bluebird again right before they ran past him.

"Bah, you think you can get past me? You pests may have managed to defeat me before, but that wont happen again! You'll rule the day you messed with Glortidul!" The wolf announced lowly, making it so only the two could hear. Alronto and Alranta didn't have the slightest idea about what he was talking about, so they simply started walking away.

As they began to pad off, they listened carefully. And after a couple of minutes, the ground began to shake and roar almost silently. Glortidul was chasing them! Alronto got wide eyes and began to run as fast as he could.

They needed to think fast; The black wolf was catching up fast. But Alronto could smell a familiar scent. 'Glacier..?' The thought came quickly, as did sight of a cave full of wolves. All he could see was two wolves wide awake and one or two wolves near the enterance sleeping. But he knew that there were more; He could smell them.

Alranta almost tripped up when a strong wind picked up, but she kept going with all her strength; She had no plans of being breakfast. Alronto couldn't hold back any longer: "AHHH! HEEEELP!" He screamed as loud as he could, running past the cave with a large amount of speed.

The large wolf was thundering against the mountain-side to catch the two, and now had them trapped in a corner of rock. Alranta changed into a bobcat in attempt to scare him away, but it didn't work; And she knew it wouldn't. Alronto wimpered like a small yearling as the red-eyed wolf moved in closr and closer. "HEEEEEELP!" He yelled at the top of his voice, seeming louder than the last for some reason. And with that he was out of breath, and all he could hope for was that the other wolves came to help him.

(Sorry for the monster post, everyone. I was bored and you all gave me lots of stuff to go on for my post. ^^)

(OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!! GLORTIDUL IS BACK!!!!!!!!!! *SCREAMS AND RUNS AROUND IN CIRCLES*!!!!!!!!!!!)

opening her eyes at the sound of screaming lostface's nose was hit with a rancid smell. the smell seemed to wake something in her and her eyes began to glow. dashing twords the cave entrance she yelled in a chilling voice, "Glortidul is back!" sprinting after him with an astounding speed she rounded a corner. there was Glortidul! "DIE!" lostface yelled as she leaped up onto Glortidul's back. her paws lighted with fire as she raveged Glortidul's back as much as she could.

Kazuro almost fell off of the ledge he was sitting on when he heard the shrill cry of the wolf who passed their cave and then the thundering of massive paws that followed. "What in the-," he started, whipping around to see what the commotion was. He was just in time to see a huge black wolf dissapear around the corner of the mountain, then the small shape of Lostface sprinting after it. "Come back!" he shouted to the pup, but she was already too far away. He whipped his head around to the sleeping wolves, barking commands. "Glacier, War, and Sai come with me. Crescent, stay here with Ninja. Don't come unless I call you." He flinched inwardly at the thought of Crescent in battle; her soft snowy coat stained crimson with blood. He shoved the thought away and resumed his orders. "Whisker, I need you to come with me. Unless you'd rather stay with Crescent." He thought of how close a bond was between the wolf and it's anima; Whisker may not be willing to leave Crescent behind. He turned his head to Zura. "Stay right at my side until we get there," he whispered to her. He turned back to his pack. "Follow me. Be careful." He gave one last glance toward Crescent, then turned and plunged himself down the ledge and off to where the huge wolf dissapeared to with Zura hot on his heels.

When they rounded the corner, Zura and Kazuro both gasped and froze for a moment. The small form of Lostface clung to the massive black wolf's neck. One other wolf who he didn't know and his anima were cowering beneath the shadow of the huge creature. Kazuro's eyes shone amber and his paws burst into flame. He snarled and hurled himself at the wolf with Zura right beside him. She latched onto the wolf's back and dug her claws in, raking out pawfulls of fur and flesh. Kazuro clutched onto the wolf's back, sinking his teeth in and digging in his claws.

Ninja awoke and dashed out of the cave. He immeadiatly noticed that there was a wolf! He sped after it, soon catching up, for he must save Lostface! He let out a bolt of lightning, hitting the wolf. He waited for it to turn, so he could draw it away from Lostface...

Sai jumbed up as Kazuro started to bark out orders "huh whats going on" just as he asked hear the the sound of huge paws running across the mountain. he didn't ask anymore questions. he turned his head and looked at Hackle "stay here with Crescent we should leave someone here to protect her, just incase. Hackle nodded her head she understood the reason why he wanted her to stay behind. not only to to protect Crescent but to keep her out of harms way, Sai couldn't fight to his fullest if he had to keep an eye on her "don't worry Sai you can count on me." Sai nodded his head and followed his leader out of the cave.

Kazuro led them to a massive black wolf, Sai was left with his jaw open untill saw the wolf he had cornered "Alronto!" he dashed in front of him, the symbols on his shoulder started to glow brightly and he shot a lighting bolt into the chest of the large wolf


Whisker was woken up by the cry of help he heard out side of the cave he lifeted his head and looked out the cave just in time to see the legs of a large creature go by he jumped up to his paws "what was that?" Crescent had seen it also she wasn't sure what to think of the what she saw. she felt frightened by what she had seen. she watchted Kazuro as he began to give out orders to the pack. Whisker changed into a lynx "i'll fight so Crescent won't have to" he followed Kazuro and the others out of the cave. Crescent watched as he pack mates went out to fight, she felt as if she should have went too like there was something more she should be doing.

as she was becoming lost in her thoughts Ninja woke up and ran out of the cave "Stop" she cried out. Kazuro couldn't let the pup get hurt in a fight it shouldn't even be in. She dashed out of the cave, grabbed Ninja by his scruff and ran back into the cave. she put the pup down and placed her paw firmly on the pups stomch to keep it from running out again. "i'm sorry Ninja i know you want to help but just let Kazuro and the others handle it, a pup like you shouldn't be fighting."

Ninja struggled. "Must help Lostface!" He looked around wildly for Stealth. She was gone. He managed to struggle out and ran out of the cave. after a while he ran out of the cave, and caught up with Sai. He shot a bolt at the evil wolve's head.

lostface's eyes began to glow even more. she allmost seemed to be getting biger. moveing forward on glortidul's back she bit down into the base of his skull as hard as she could. by now because of kazuro's and her own flaming paws glortidul was on fire.

"Someone get these pups out of here!" Kazuro shouted, releasing his grip on the huge black wolf. He didn't want the pups hurt. He heard Sai's call, It was a name Kazuro had never heard before. Sai knows that wolf? he thought, then he sank his teeth back into the flesh of the massive black wolf, tearing and ripping side to side with his claws.

Zura hissed through her teeth and jumped down from where she was. She turned into a lynx, as she couldn't carry them in her Ocelot form, and charged at Ninja. She sank her teeth into his scruff and darted up the mountain as fast as she could. She almost shoved the small body of Ninja to Crescent, then turned and pelted out of the cave again. When she returned, she jumped onto the back of the huge wolf and grabbed Lostface by the scruff also, then turned and dashed up the mountain to Crescent with the pup in her jaws. "Keep them here," Zura hissed, surprized at the intensity in her voice. "Do you hear me?" she hissed at the pups. "Stay here." She shot a short glare toward them, then turned and once again pelted out of the cave, transforming into her Ocelot form while she did. She launched herself at the black wof and clung to it's shoulder.

lostface thrashed voilently as zura carried her back to the cave. when she was let down she yelled in a voice that was not hers, "Glortidul musent be allowed to survive!" her eyes had now changed from light blue to green. she was now about half the size of a yearling wolf(a little bit bigger than before the fight started). dashing again out of the cave she leaped allong side Glortidul rakeing her flaming claws accross his side. she landed next to glortidul's face and began clawing at it savegly.

Azarius was first to wake as he heard the thundering of paws pass their cave. Glacier awoke seconds later, her eyes already wide open. " Alronto!" She shouted, getting to her feet and running out of the cave as quickly as she could. She saw his familiar brown pelt, and made a dash for it, but then noticed the huge, towering figure of a large Black wolf there too. She cursed, skidding to a halt, and trying to think fast. Azarius darted past her as a rat, jumping from rock to rock to make his way over to Alranta. 'Go! You can fly!' he reminded her as he passed. She jumped sideways off the mountain entirely, rising up again with her white wings. She moved above the back wolf, and tried to make out an easy target. Suddenly a name came into her mind, Sai. her ghostly blue eyes darted around the mountain side until she found his familiar face. her stomach twisted and was suddenly released as she found he was still alright, but now her gaze moved to Alronto. She saw the tiny white dot of Azarius make it easily past the huge wolf's paws and at Alronto's side. She saw him change into a white fox and bristle at the large wolf.

Glacie had to fight the thoughts in her head, this was for her friends, she thought. Diving through the air at top speed, she landed into the wolf on his back and dug her pas into his fur and clamped her jaws firmly on his thick neck, finding nothing but a lot of fur. A gust of wind suddenly pulled her away, and with a jolt she realized it wasn't done storming yet, high winds were still pounding the mountain side.

Ninja cried out in frustration, and ran down the mountain. He stumbled, and rolled down the rest of the mountain. Finding himself bruised, but at the bottm, he ran to the fight. It took him forever, but he did it. He launched himself at the wolf but missed. He jumped up and launched himself at Glortidul's paws. He hoped to knock him over.

War growled then howled as she ran at The large wolf's neck "Not this time shall i let someone go" War's eyes glowed a deep blood red and she bit down with her eyes still glowing and her lightning strike with it

Ninja saw that this wolf was going to win, but he pressed on. He was surprised he hadn't been hurt yet.

(Thanks, everyone! Sorry for the wait. And I was planning on making this plot longer, and discussed it with Shadow. And I like the idea of losing the first fight, that'd make it more exciting.)

Glortidul was surprised to see the bird change into a bobcat, but he paid no mind. He laughed as Alranto tried to scare him off. But out of nowhere he could feel wolves begin to pile up on him. He quickly thrashed his neck and knocked off the pup and wolf fairly easily, though the white wolf was a bit harder to do so.

He shook his massive hind leg in attempt to knock Kazuro off, but it was taking a lot longer to do so. For the moment he had forgotton about Alronto and Alranta, instead focusing on the others who were attacking him.

Alranta was still growling when Azarius came along. She paid hardly no mind but a smile, tugging at Alronto to follow her. Alronto nodded, quietly walking underneath the black wolf with her leading the way. They managed to escape while the massive wolf was distracted, but it wasn't long before he noticed.

The two began to dash away from him when they soon noticed the others were fighting Glortidul feriously. Alronto was slowly gaining courage, and he noticed Glacier being thrown off of his neck. His paws burst into crimson-red blazes and he bit at his leg with great strength. The large, black wolf shook the other ones off, knocking a good few against rocks. The wolf started slowly walking to the pups and Cresent, who were still outside. He growled roughly, getting closer to attacking them.

Alronto and Alranta were both struck by him, Alronto knocked against a pile of rocks while Alranta was knocked to the mountain's smooth floor. "No! Move out of the way!" He shouted as the large wolf closed in on the three wolves. He didn't know them, but he still cared for their survival.

Kazuro was thrown off of the large wolf's leg and he smashed into a couple of rocks nearby, knocking the breath out of him. He slumped onto the ground, panting, and looked up. The two wolves had escaped, but they led the black wolf to Crescent. Kazuro was frozen with panic. He composed himself and leapt into action. He dodged the wolf's legs and stood in front of Crescent, baring his teeth at the large wolf and snarling. His eyes gleamed a new shade of amber and his paws were an inferno. He stood his ground in front of the wolf he loved.

Zura, still clinging onto the wolf's back, jumped down and joined Kazuro in front of Crescent. She hissed and her fur stood on end. Her ears were flat against her head as she waited for the wolf's next move.
