Dawn glanced over and saw a new wolf speaking to Thunder. She flattened her ears against the rain and padded over with Elleron following under her. "Hello," she greeted. "I'm Dawn, and this is Elleron," she introduced her anima with a quick glance under here where he peeked out to see the new female. "Hey," he greeted quickly, cowering under Dawn once again for shelter from the rain.

"My name is Crystal, and this is James." Crystal said as she saw her anima James jumping onto the top of her head. James shaked his little brow and white mouse body to get the rain off of himself."Pleasure to meet you." He said looking down at Elleron, he started to clean his small ears as she rain fall slowed a bit.

(Sorry for the wait, everyone. XD)

Dusk flattened her ears and looked as if she was about to cry when she heard what the black wolf said. "Oh.." She whispered lowly, not even loud enough for anyone to hear but herself. Then a horrible smell filled her nose, one she knew from her mother long ago. Soon a large bolt of lightning struck the nearby trees, and a great fire broke out. And it was spreading fast. The pup's eyes grew wide with fear and she ran as fast as she could to keep up with the others. Her beautiful, brown fur was slowly becoming as black as coal as the fire caught up to her; She was losing the others and the fire was gaining on her.

Faolin jumped when he saw Dusk begin to run, though soon saw what for. His small body followed her, soon changing into a white mouse once close enough and clinging to her fur. He was ready to scream, but held it in, knowing it probably wouldn't do any good. Dusk was pushing harder and harder, though wasn't going any faster. And to make matters worse she tripped on a large tree root partially sticking out of the ground. The small pup landed flat on her face, causing some scratches on her muzzle, though weren't severe and wouldn't leave scars. "Dusk, c'mon, get up! We have to hurry!" The mouse squeaked, burying it's face in the soft pelt of his partner. Dusk didn't reply, she was too busy getting up and thinking on what to do. The fire was to close to outrun, and she was too far from any water source to hide. Soon her young instinct got the better of her, and she howled out a whimpering, puppy howl.

Dusk sat there, frozen as she watched the flames come nearer to her by the second and even burned the tip of her tail a bit before she got ahead a bit more. But then, with a loud clap of thunder, rain began to pour. The wildfire was still too large and wasn't going to go out for a while, and it continued to burn across the plain towards the two little ones. Dusk ran to the tree that's root she had tripped on, cuddling in a very, very small dent in it that she could just barely fit in, though it was a tight fit. The poor thing just wanted to have this over with, and tearing began to pour from her eyes like the rain was in the sky. Curling up into an even tighter ball, the two fell into a long, painful sleep full of nightmares.

"Hello, Crystal." Thunder said still worrily glancing around.Chips came ton the ground and transformed to a white mouse, too."This feels different!" She said out loud.

Dawn gave a small smile to the new wolf, but it soon dissapeared when she heard a muffled cry. Her ear swivled toward the sound, with her head soon following. The fire was still burning further away, but it was receding quickly. She narrowed her eyes, seeing if she could search for whatever made the cry, and soon it hit her. "Dusk!" she shouted, turning and bolting away toward the flames. "Dusk, where are you?" she called, panic rising in her voice. She'd been so sure the female was following them, she must've fallen behind. The orange glow was geowing dimmer, but the rain was just a light drizzle now. It wasn't pouring like it had before. Smoke filled her nose, she wouldn't be able to scent the brown wolf in this. "Dusk, where are you?" she called again. Elleron scrambled onto Dawn's head and jumped off, turning into an eagle in mid-air and flapping his wings to take himself above the flames. "Dusk!" he called, his sharp eyes searching every where.

"Crystal!Help us find her!" Thunder yelled as Chips jumped in trees as a squirrel.

Crystal nodded her crown in a yes, she started to sniff the air as she began to walk in the freezing waters. Her ears went upright as she could smell something hidden in the smoke.Maybe that her! Crystal let out a few barks as she started to swim to the other side of the river...Where it was still burning a bit."Dusk!" Crystal called as she tried to find the missing wolven. Her bright green eyes darted back and forth as she jumped over a few burning tree's, she could smell the wolf's sent coming closer.

Dusk was running through a beautiful field of flowers, butterflies surrounding her everywhere she looked. One of them landed on her moist, black nose and started fluttering away. The pup chased it, pouncing and jumping in the air, trying to catch it. Her dark brown pelt fell as she stumbled, falling face-first into the dirt. What happened to the flowers? She stood to her paws and looked around, seeing nothing but a barren wasteland. And what lay in her sight was her sister's unmoving body, with a large scent of death.

The whelp woke with a small yelp of fright. She looked around the small alcove she had been sleeping in. Her ears perked upwardly when she heard voices calling her name. The fire had died down greatly, and was getting close to being extinguished. The dark paws of the pup moved forward, peeking outside the entrance to her "den," searching for the source of the noise. Dusk coughed roughly, looking up again, spotting Dawn in the distance. Yet, she could also see a squirrel in a tree beside her, but very, very barely. "Dawn?" She called, her voice ruffled through coughing and wheezing. That smoke hadn't done her much good, she was sore and probably was going to get sick.

The paws of the small pup moved faster and faster as she gained speed, eventually making it to a slow canter. "Dawn.." She repeated in earshot for her to hear. When she reached the cream female, she collapsed to the ground with a loud thud, and her eyes were blurred. Sure, she hadn't hurt herself too badly from the fire, but she had only gotten a few moment's of sleep and she was exhausted to the very brim. Plus, she was starving and dehydrated. Her eyes closed slowly, and she had fallen unconscious.

Chips jumped down, landing on dusk hoping to wake her."Dusk!" she screamed as Thunder darted over to help.

Dawn's frantic eyes darted every which way for the pup, and she felt a tidal wave of relief flood over her body when her ears detected her voice. Dawn turned her head in time to see Dusk fall to the ground. Her relief flitted away and was replaced with anxiety and worry. "Dusk?" she asked, nudging the pup. She opened her jaws and clamped them around the female's neck. She picked the pup up gently and turned toward the river. She gave a quick glance at Thunder before she took off and ran for the cooling waters. There was a small stream up ahead that would have to do. The water was clear and was big enough for this pup to at least lay in. She set the small pup down in front of the stream and placed her paw in the water. She drew her paw up quickly and sent water spraying across the dark female's pelt. She hoped to wake the pup up with the cooling waters, and her face showed how worried she really was. "Dusk, wake up," she called.

Thunder called "chips" before he followed.Chips exploded to a blue Jay and sped towards them.

Crystal's ears went upright as she saw Dawn with Dusk held in her jaws. Crystal raised her head up into the smoke filled air and let out a short howl saying "Dawn found Dusk!" After the howl she reared up halfway and ran closely behind Dawn..Hoping that Dusk was ok. Once they all had gotten to the river, Crystal slowly walked up to Dusk and Dawn. "Is she going to be ok?" She asked in a worried tone.

"Probably" Thunder said hopeingly in the smokey air.

Darkness swirled around the small pup, keeping her within the subconscious mind as much as it could. She was scared, but couldn't do anything, it had her trapped. Sometimes a flash of fire appeared, as if right on her face, but before she could tell it was gone again. Then, suddenly, the darkness scurried away as fast as it could, and a cold feeling touched her frail body.

Dusk's maw opened up in sudden coughs, and her eyes breached the shadows. The small pup peered around at the gathering of wolves, and finally noticed that she was being carried. Her eyes moved upward, and saw Dawn's worried eyes. The pup hated to see others upset, or even worried, so she licked her chin with as much strength that she could, reassuring her that she was alright. Her hind paws curled up against her body, like any pup would do when picked up by the scruff. Dawn's eyes looked as if she would cry, which made Dusk ready to do the same, but she kept it in, though still held her ears against her head.

"D-don't cry, I don't want you to cry.."

Thnder let out a sigh of relief.He wasn't sure if Dusk would make it through the day."Are you going tpo be alright?" he asked still glancing around the black-grey world.

Dawn's frantic activities were cut short when she saw Dusk's eyes open. Dawn froze, watching the small form finally come back to conciousness. Dawn took a step toward the pup, her expression changing from a deep worried frown to a smile. A wave of relieve washed over the light brown she-wolf and she felt her fur relax with it. Dusk's words were small and fragile, so Dawn leaned in slightly to hear them. "D-don't cry, I don't want you to cry.." she heard the voice beside her say. Dawn blinked her eyes, and as soon as she did, a crystal-like tear fell from her right eye. She quickly wiped it away with one paw; she never knew that she started crying, or what the reason was for. She'd only just met this pup and here she was crying over it. The she-wolf gave a smile to the young wolf below her. "I'm just glad your alright," she murmured.

(Just so you know Dawn is holding Dusk by the scruff, remember? XD Meh, short post.)

The pup let out a small yawn, still exhausted from the day. Her small head looked up at the wolfess that held her, she was so kind, and Dusk was only wasting their time and energy. She felt she shouldn't be there, and leave, so that she wouldn't bother anyone any more. Usually a pup her age would love to stay and have safety, but not her, she wanted to try and be as little of a burden as possible. She loved friends, yes, but she hated bothering others with her problems. Her thoughts were interrupted by another voice, that of one she'd heard before. It was the black male's, and it seemed he wasn't that bad after all, at least at the moment. The pup was too weak to speak any more, and her eyes began to close, though she tried her best to keep them open. Her eyes jolted open again when she heard Dawn speak, which gave the young wolf a more cheery feeling on the inside. But it didn't last long, as her sleepiness was taking her again, making her eyes slowly close, though it would be a minute or two before she actually fell asleep.

Thunder saw the little pup trying to stay awake.He walked over to Dawn and slightly turned his head to her."Should we take her in?I mean, she looks helpless." he said watching the poor, hungry, tired pup.(isn't she hungry?-.-)

Dawn could feel the small pup in her jaws relax and knew she must be exhausted. She was about to turn to Thunder, but the male beat her to it. "Of course," Dawn replied. "We can't just let her wander out by herself." And you think of her as your pup now, Elleron added, smiling up at her. Dawn sighed. Exactly. The brown she-wolf turned and strode toward their small cave, carrying the pup in her jaws. "We should turn in for the night, it's getting late," she called quietly, not wanting to disturb Dusk.

"alright."Fade said gently.He began towards the cave, thinking if this pup will make it through.Then he couldn't stop thinking about asking Dawn if if wanted to have pups."ehh, I'll ask her after Dusk is asleep." he mumbled too quiet for anyone to hear.

Iceheart appeared from around a bend, her opaque eyes not moving, her paws waking steadily. Kyota peered out as a ermine, his obisidan eyes glittering as they took in everything around them, warning Iceheart of stones and obstacles. Iceheart was weary affter the many hour ordeal she had been through in the past day.

She pulled up beside Rohindal, and turned her sightless gaze on the pair.
"Where to now? Shall we go to the other pack?" The words seemed muffled because of the long grass, let moving because of a wind that has strted up. Iceheart's tired frame slowly shifted as the grass prickled her fur. She yawned widely. She made her desicion quickly.
"Let's just go to the other pack and rest there for a while. I haven't slept since the day before yesterday. We have traveled far, and have gone through much since then"

Kyota added his agreement in he form of a nod. He saw how quickly Iceheart was losing energy, and severed the connection with which he sent mental images to the femme, allowing something almost like vision. The link drained the pair immensly, and startingly quickly. The pair waited for the almost identical wolf and anima to answer. Iceheart scented something, probably the pack, but she was too tired to mention it. is was probably just the scent markers, or the breeze blowing them the scent. Kyota noticed it too , and spoke. "Hey, do you smell that?" He glanced around and aught sight of some wolves. A lot.

Kyota scrambled down from iceheart's shoulder, and gave her some herbs for energy. Iceheart perked up enough to hear Marvk's words. Kyota urgently added
"she NEEDS sleep. Iceheart's been traveling far, about several lengths of the island, been sick, hunting, she dislocate her leg, and we stayed out half the night. Then she had some poppy seed and was only asleep for moments, until she had to go find some wayward pups. The she ran into you. We're also weak from the disease. and we haven't been sleeping well. she's also been through a storm which wiped out her whole clan, been exiled, fought. Plus we shared minds, so I could send her mental images. That uses up a lot of energy. Oh, and did I mention that this was all in the past 3 days? Mostly yesterday. but she wasn't sleeping or eating before then. I don't care if you are in trouble with this pack, we need to get some rest." Without thinking, the pair hurtled towards the other pack, skidding to a halt inches away from them.
