He needs a pack.

Dawn giggled at the playful animas. Elleron watched in dismay as the butterfly fluttered away. "Awww, I almost caught it, too..." he mumbled, but couldn't help laughing along with everyone.

Thunder giggled.He started to blush a bit and asked Dawn "Would you like to start a..." he gulped."pack?".He thought it would be way too early.He was ready to be emberased and ready to dart away.

Dawn looked up into Thunder's eyes. At first she thought he was joking, but his eyes told her nothing but the truth. He was serious about it. She blushed and looked away, her ears flat on her head. She thought about it for a minute. Her as an Alpha Female? Her as a mother? Her as his mate? The questions whirled in her head. She finally looked back up to Thunder. "Can I... think about it?" she asked quietly.

Elleron, not paying attention to the conversation, felt Dawn's anxiety and looked up to her. Her ears were flat and it loked like she was embarrased. Confused, he looked to Thunder and saw the same expression. He tilted his head and turned to Chips as if asking what had happened.

Thunder backed up to give Dawn space.Chips then whispered"Thunder asked to start a pack."

Dawn thought more about this, sitting down. She wasn't sure she was right as an Alpha, let alone his mate. She looked back up at him, thinking. He was so much bigger than her, that was for sure. She looked down again at the grass beside her paws. Could she? Would she? She sighed to herself and got to her paws. "Lets hunt, I'll have the answer then," she murmured, walking over to him.

Elleron tilted his head again and turned back to Dawn. What do you think? he asked, serious now. I'm not sure, she replied. He glanced at Chips, then hesitantly bounded after Dawn.

Thunder was worried she wouldn't accept."what are you in the mood for?" he asked standing up.

Dawn lifted her head to the breeze. A faint scent of deer drifted by her nose. "I smell deer... that way," she motioned with her head. "They're a little ways off, though," she added.

"Well, then I'll catch a closer one." he said wiping his muzzle.

"Come on," DAwn said, smiling a bit. She turned and ran in the direction the deer herd scent was coming from with Elleron right on her heels.

Thunder wondered after her.Chips soon decided to follow.

The scent grew stronger as Dawn followed it, then she finally came to an area beside a small brook where the herd was resting. There were many fawns and a few older deer. One buck ruled here, and he stand looking at his herd. Dawn glanced back for Thunder and found him following her. "Which one do you want?" she asked in a low whisper as he caught up.

Thunder saw one with a broken leg."let's put that one out of it's pain" he said glancing to each different one.

Dawn nodded slightly. Good choice, she thought. She glanced down at Elleron briefly, who nodded and turned into a bobcat. He felt odd in this form; usually being a fox cub, but he'd tolerate it for a nice meal. With stealth clearly out of the picture, seeing as there was no where to hide in the open plains, Dawn circled around the deer with Elleron following her. They both eyed the deer, and when the herd realized that these wolves were here to hunt, they paniced. The buck charged at her, but she agiely jumped out of the way and ran for the crippled doe. She launched herself into the air and landed her fangs in it's rump. Elleron followed her attack and bit into the deer's other side.

Chips decided to turn into a baby lioness.He had never become a meat eater before.Fade just waddled over and bit it on the neck, while chips just dug her claws on the neck, and slammed the does head on the ground until it died.Fade ate a bit but left alot for the others.Chips tried meat as a carnivore, and craved it."yummylicous!" he exclaimed.

Dawn kept her grip on the doe until it's struggles ceased to exist and it's heart slowed until it stopped altogether. She tore into it's shoulder with Elleron digging in right beside her. She hadn't noticed how hungry she was until now. She hadn't had a kill like this in weeks. When she had finally eaten her fill, she stepped back, Elleron still wolfing most of it down, and lay down, belly up, to stare at the sky. "That was good," she sighed, then turned to thunder and smiled. "Thanks."

"no problem.actually you started to kill it." he stepped over letting the little lioness gobble alot down.Fade layed down and yawned.He dozed off for about three seconds.He just then could have sworn he saw a bear."thats impossible...Is that a bear over there?"

Dawn turned to see what Thunder was talking about. In the distance, a hulking black shape lifted itself onto it's hind legs. The massive monster raised it's head in a deafening roar and charged at them on all fours. She stepped back a few paces, utterly confused. What had they done to this creature? She looked around wildly and saw one small cub wandering toward the carcass they had just killed; the bear must have thought they were harming her cub. Dawn's eyes widened in shock and she let out a short bark of surprise. "Thunder!" she howled. "Run!" She lowered her head and caught Chips between her jaws. She ran the opposite way with Chips in her jirm teeth with Elleron streaking right behind her. "Take Chips and run," she barked to Elleron, abruptly putting Chips down. Elleron hesitated, but took the anima in his jaws. He knew that Dawn thought the anima would be safer with him; she cares deeply for the carefree anima. Elleron locked his eyes with Dawn's for a moment. Be careful, he warned. Then he turned and bolted away. Dawn watched him leave, then she turned back to where Thunder still lay and ran toward him, standing beside him in case the bear attacked.

Thunder saw the bear and had an idea.He chased the cub off to tempt the mother to follow it.The bear started running after the cub."okay, it's gone...hopefully." he said turning to Dawn.He howled high to tell chips and Elleron that it was now safe and to come back."You alright?"he said turning to Dawn once again.

Dawn huffed, shaky, and turned to Thunder. "That was a great idea," she said, her legs shaking a bit. Elleron returned and skidded to a halt beside them. He lowered Chips to the ground. "Yes I'm alright," Dawn said. She turned to the two animas, "You guys okay?" "Yeah," Elleron replied, panting from his run.

comeing from a distance a lofty voice carried on the breeze, "Wow, that was brave. But you better hope that bear dosen't come back. She would whoop ya." there was laughter, then a white wolf stepped out of the bushes and stoped a yard away from the wolves. "Pleased to meet you, im Snowest." Then a black fox stepped up next to her and bowed slightly and said, "Im Jack, Pleased to meet your aquaintence." Snickering teasingly snowest gently knocked Jack down.

Dawn cocked her head as she listened to the voice, then turned to see a white wolf appear beside them. They seemed polite enough, she thought. "Nice to meet you," Dawn said happily, her tail wagging slightly. "I'm Dawn." Elleron stepped forward to see another fox, like him, standing beside a strange wolf. "Hi," he greeted them. "I'm Elleron."

Fade saw another wolf and a black fox."hello, I'm Thunder.This is chips." he said turning. "Hi!" she squeaked as loud as she could.She transformed into a bear cub, then growling."sorry, I can't squeak loud as a chipmunk."she said.Then she transformed back into a chipmunk.

jack got up and said to elleron and chips, "hello." "hello thunder, dawn. waht are you guys doing here?" snowest asked polightly.

"A better question:What are YOU doing in our territory?" he said as he glanced between Jack and Snowest.

"huh? i didnt smell eny sent markers." snowest cocked her head.
